I thought The Crucible was actually a good movie. I like the way the actors acted the movie out. How Abigail played her part as she made the judges believe that the people were witches and how she got into the other girls head about it. I think Tituba was the lucky one because all she did was tell that she was a witch and that set herself free rather than denying it and being hung for it. John Proctor played a good role at the end by taking his word about the witchcraft and not signing the document knowing the consequences.Movie Review: Review of the Crucible

The movie the Crucible was and interesting movie that I enjoyed. The movie relays many historical facts and in an intertaining way. Arthur Miller chose a great cast that made the movie very life like and emotional. To me the movie showed how life really was in the 1600's and how a group of girls couold cause such a large uproar. I think that the movie was an improvement of the play because there are scenes that take place outside, which gives the movie a more interesting affect. omigosh this movie is so great. It really showed the witchcraft trials in a powerful way. All the actors did a wonderful job with their characters. Excpecially Rob Campbell as rev. Hale who I thought was super hot (hee hee). I really got into the movie and even cried. I would definetly buy this and thats why im gonna today!From jelousy to hate this was the true betrayal of the trials and im sorry all those innocent people had to die and at least some people relize and appreciate what they went through.Movie Review: Helpful Visual Aid

Used this video in conjunction with the play in my ELA classes. We watched the film after reading each act aloud. It definitely helped out the students who were having trouble understanding just the text. High quality video, purposeful bad acting aided inferential understanding of Abigail's underlying motives, and the only negative is that I had to skip over the nude scene at the beginning of the film when showing it in class.Movie Review: I saw this movie with the devil!!

..and he gave it 5 stars too. He agreed that the acting was superb all the way around. He also said that the period was captured just as he remembered. We both thought that Winona Ryder was robbed of a nomination. For me, I'd have to say that THE CRUCIBLE is one of my top 20 favorite films. We both recommend the DVD to anyone interested in the Salem Witch Trial events or if you're a fan of well crafted cinema.
