Movie Reviews of The Crimson RiversMovie Review: Tres Bien Summary: 4 Stars
J'aime le film parce-que c'etait un film passionannant. Il ya premire temp, je regardez ce flim en francaise. Ce flim a vu en malasie a anglais. J'aime Jean Reno, Vincent Cassell et lui pere Jean Pierre! Recomendez ! 4 etoiles!
One special note to Sony Pictures: the packaging is very difficult to open. Too many sticker on the packaging. I have to use a knife to open the packaging. I almost cut my self.
This is also my first review is French. Pardon ma grammaire.
Movie Review: Murder Mystery with Style Summary: 4 Stars
Supposedly the first French police investigation film, Crimson Rivers adds flair and style to a well-worn genre. There are plenty of films about police tracking killers but this drama feels spontaneous and suspenseful. The cinematography adds a dark, mysterious beauty to the brutal events. There are several interesting plot twists and fans of Jean Reno won't be disappointed. Vincent Cassel, as the dumb young cop, provides a great counter-point to Reno's hard nosed detective.
Movie Review: Suspense, twist, Alpine scenery and much more Summary: 4 Stars
A good suspense movie with a good cast for those who are familiar with French actors. It has everything needed for an entertaining thriller, where clues are slowly dropped along the way as the mystery unravels. Whether the events are plausible is another matter, but then again, sometimes one has to suspend belief, when watching a movie.
There is a sequel with the same name, which is also a mystery, but not as good as this one.
Movie Review: weird ending but great entertainment and great location shots Summary: 4 Stars
This movie is fast paced but not a cheesy one-not action thriller. The scenery is AMAZING. The story was quietly weird despite the opening CSI-type scene. I forgot I was watching a French film because I got caught up in the mystery and the action. I'm looking forward to seeing the sequel. The two actors are key to the entertainment value of this movie. Vincent Cassel looks like an Irish guy I went to school with, a lanky pugilist.
Movie Review: watch it in french, not english Summary: 4 Stars
I first watched this film, dubbed in English, and putted about my room without paying too much attention to it... left it for a few months, and just watched it again, with friends, and in French, with the English subtitles.no need to give my critical review, as the editor's is pretty much right on... just a slick thriller, and one I'm glad I watched again... the 'proper' way.
