Movie Reviews of The Christmas ShoesMovie Review: Christmas Shoes is the greatest Summary: 5 Stars
I heard the song first by "NewSong" around Christmas time in 2000 and I could not help but start to get teary eyed. When I was at a concert NewSong announced they were going to make a movie based on their hit "Christmas Shoes" I was so happy to hear that. When I saw the movie in 2002 for the first time I could not help but get teary eyed again. When It played again in December 2003 I cried again. This movie is one of the greatest Christmas Movies that have came around in the last few years. I believe it is a great movie and when ever it is released I will by a copy. If you have a child or grandchild I recomend you watch it. However, I just want to warn you need to have a box of tissues standing by. God Bless NewSong for making such a great song.
Movie Review: A Christmas Classic Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of my holiday guilty pleasure flicks and a real tear-jerker so I get all the Christmas tensions out after I watch it. Touching story of a young boy and his mother who has a heart condition and very little time left. A parallel story is also told about an over-achieving yuppie and his wife and daughter. Fate meshes all the characters together and by the end, many valuable lessons about what's important in life are revealed. The cast is stellar especially Max Morrow, who portrays Nathan the young boy and eternally handsome eye candy Rob Lowe makes a great lawyer who gets a much needed wake-up call. The common thread is a pair of unique looking shoes that ties it all together.
Movie Review: Tremendous Story, Superb Acting Summary: 5 Stars
Holiday movies don't get much better than The Christmas Shoes! This movie will have you crying and cheering, and ultimately feeling the real spirit of Christmas. Rob Lowe is great in this movie!
Other holiday classics:
Christmas Gifts, Christmas Voices--a holiday parable about the importance of giving--giving that results in miracles.
Scroogeanother great holiday movie--wonderful, unforgetable score, the best version of A Christmas Carol by far!
Movie Review: Tear Jerker Summary: 5 Stars
This was such a good movie. It is about a ten year old boy and a self-centered atternoy. In this story 10 year old Nathan finds out that this is going to be his motheres last christmas because she is so sick. On christmas eve Nathan runs over to the story to buy his mom a pair of dance shoes because she had a pair that she used to love. Robert is a atternoy that is only conserned about his work and has left his family to pay for it. When Robert is at the store getting his last minute shopping done, he meets Nathan who is 5 dollers short for the shoes. Robert gives him the money and learns the ture meaning of chirstmas. I cried through the whole movie but loved it just the same.
Movie Review: Great to see on DVD Summary: 5 Stars
Just to correct the person who said the movie was never repeated. It was. At least once beyond the original airing. The promotion for the repeats was just not particularly as good as for the first airing, and it ran much closer to Christmas in the encores than the original, quite possibly the result of a rush of emails likely sent to CBS. Thus you may have missed the reairings. But they were there. It's a treat to finally have it on DVD, and at such a bargain...not having to worry about looking for it again on TV. The movie speaks for itself if you know the story and the casting was a stroke of absolute brilliance. This movie should have won Emmys.
