Movie Review: FIRST LESBIAN-THEMED MOVIE EVER!
Summary: 5 Stars
This dvd showed me one of the more fascinating and earlier depictions of the harassment that gays and lesbians get. It was probably highly controversial for its time, and revolutionary for those who realized that they were part of the GLBTQ community at the time. Plus, it includes famous actors and actresses, and so it must have been difficult for them to take on these roles, and I applaud them! It was a cute, but real story and I recommend it to anyone and everyone!Movie Review: Stirring Movie - ahead of its time

This is a classic "not to miss" movie that i missed until now. Shirley McClaine and Audrey Hephurn are terrific - showing such versatility in their acting. And, the subject matter was so ahead of the time - people did not talk of homosexuality in those days - and this movie showed how to handle it with sensitivity and thought.
This isn't recommended for those 11 and under -but highly recommended to young teens and both men and women!

I first saw this movie when I was 18 my bf and i rented the video tape and watched it
I cried so hard and the end it is a very emotional movie all the actors are great and you just want to wring that girls neck.
it is about a lie that had just a grain of truth to it.
I was lucky enough to see the play when I was in San Fransisco.
the ending is very sad but true in most cases of some who question their sexuality.
Movie Review: ahead of its time for 1962

I first saw this film when I was 10.It was on Saturday morning,and the TV station thought it was a kids movie,and just before the end of the movie it went blank,and another movie was replaced.
Now I know why this happened.
"The Childrens hour" is almost like a stage play,but wonderfull.Hepburn,MacLanine and James Garner are great.
The ending is heartbreaking,but this film will stay with you for along time.

This is one of the most powerful films I ever saw. Acting of everyone was great but the leading actors should have gotten the Oscars, all of them. This film has a perfect combination of everything: the screenplay, the filming, the casting, the performance. I rented this movie two days ago and I watched for three times already. That should tell you something. This is a very good film and I recommend it very much.
