Movie Review: great tv series

excellently produced tv series from the mid 1990s. However, it is true that the picture quality is shockingly bad at times for a BBC production and rather reminiscent of an early 1970s no budget production.
that said, the acting and storylines are top notch as is usual with the bbc.
obscenely overpriced on US amazon at $ 134 considering the complete series is available brand new from amazon UK for a mere $ 50.

My wife and I caught a few Cadfael episodes on PBS a few years ago, and we never forgot them. With a wedding anniversary approaching, it occurred to me to search Amazon for Cadfael DVD's. This complete collection is one of our best purchases ever. Cadfael, the 11th-century horticultural monk sleuth and ex-military man, is definitely one of our all-time favorite characters. The Cadfael Collection
The collection is in a nicely designed box. The dvd's are of good quality. The stories have been nicely presented. My only problem is that it is almost impossible to pop the dvds loose without damaging them.
And I wish that Sean Pertwee had been the under Sheriff in all of the episodes.

I watched Cadfael as a child on PBS and am very happy to have the series in my video collection. Before buying this product I read several other reviews in which the buyers complained about the video quality not being up to date. No it is not remastered; however the episodes have the same feel and charm as when they were made. If you love murder mysteries and medieval Europe you will enjoy Cadfael.Movie Review: Excellent quality. No complaints

The order came within 7 days and was exactly as it was described by the seller. The collection was still sealed in the original plastic wrap. Excellent series for an excellent price (new goes for around $139 or so). I'm well familiar with the series itself since we have the VCR tapes which are all but completely worn out. This DVD set is fine replacement and well worth the cost.
