Movie Reviews of The Bucket ListMovie Review: A Must-see Movie Summary: 5 Stars
What an amazing movie. In my husband's adult life, he has cried perhaps sixth times. The sixth time was while watching the movie THE BUCKET LIST. It is a movie about using every last breath that God gives to you, and to live your life to the fullest. Too many people die with regrets because they never did the things they dreamt of doing when they became adults. Both Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman give outstanding performances in this buddy-movie/comedy with real dramatic depth. Someone who feels critical about this movie or thinks that it is just a bunch of sentimental malarkey never may have witnessed life from an ICU hospital bed, full of depression and wondering if he or she is going to survive the week. I have been in this position and even now, almost seven years later, I can still struggle to realize how important it is to make every moment count. Thank you Mr. Reiner for reminding me to make the most of my life and to not take one single day for granted.
Movie Review: Be prepared to cry... and to think. Summary: 5 Stars
This movie made me cry so much and was so sad that it is really difficult to understand how I could recommend it so strongly.
The chemistry between Nicholson and Freeman was incredible and they played off each other beautifully. The humor was a welcome relief to the immense emotional subject matter.
This movie really made me think about what is important in life. I found several of the key themes in the movie something to think about and consider with respect to my own life. I loved the questions from the pyramids:
1. Did you find joy in your life?
2. Did you bring joy to others lives?
This movie probably isn't the one to reach for when you are in the mood for something light-hearted and funny. However, if you want to regain some perspective about what is important in life, this movie does a good job of making you think about what you want to accomplish in life -- particularly without being preachy.
Movie Review: perfection Summary: 5 Stars
I thought this was a really good movie. It starts off rather slow, because the two characters wanted to build up a relationship and establish a storyline while they stayed in the hospital, but if you're willing to wait 30 minutes or so, the interesting parts of the story get going, and you begin to see a very original and interesting style of story-telling involving a combination of emotion and comedy.
One thing you can pretty much count on from the very beginning is to be crying by the time the film reaches its conclusion. You pretty much KNOW you'll be crying by the end, and that the happiness between the two characters isn't going to stay like that forever.
I will say I agree with the many reviewers that the film deserves to be considered one of the very best written films of the year. It does every single thing right from the storytelling, to the emotions, to keeping the viewers watching. It's just a great movie.
Movie Review: White, Black, Death, Life, Perfect Summary: 5 Stars
Jack Nicholson is as good as it gets for crazy in love with life, and Morgan Freeman is as good as it gets for smart, thoughtful, and good to the core.
This movie is one that I got, skimmed through, dismissed, and then sat down and watched all the way through.
It is NOT a depressing movie, nor is it a "joy" movie. It is a lovely mix of suffering, love, fulfillment, discovery, and reconciliation.
BRAVO.

Movie Review: If you haven't seen this yet, it' a shame ! Summary: 5 Stars
Hello all you DVD viewers,
I would like to let you know that if someone had told ME Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman had just made a wonderful film together, I probably would have said, YEAH SURE ! I must confess my thinking was totally wrong ! These two should have both gotten Oscars for the parts they played in the movie. It was fantastic, and I have put it on the upper shelf with Forest Gump, True Women, and Avatar, esc. The thing that impressed me most is the extent of research they did about Cancer, Cancer Patients and Cancer Treatments, not to mention REAL hospital environment and interaction. I should know I am a recovering Cancer patient and am still wondering which would have been worse, the Cancer or the necessary Treatments. Even if you've never had the privilege, and I would wish it on my worst enemy, it would definately help you understand where a Cancer Patients are coming from.
Greetings,
Doc Arnold
