Movie Reviews of The Brave Little ToasterMovie Review: If you can't love the toaster...just leave him alone Summary: 5 Stars
I love the toaster! And the idea of this movie?? Genius! Just as all kids wonder about whether or not their toys can come alive, they dream of the possibility of ALL inanimate objects coming to life...and once again, Disney delivers! Yet another movie highlighting all of children's wildest dreams. Thank you, Disney!
I'm 19 and this movie still sits highly on my movie list. Yes, I watched it when I was young...young enough that I had to watch it again recently because I didn't even remember the whole thing. I'm alive and unscathed despite having been raised on this movie...so all those bad reviews, I'm assuming, are coming from ridiculously overprotective parents. Let your kids have a chance to enjoy this classic!
Movie Review: One of the Greatest Animation Films, for people of all ages! Summary: 5 Stars
The Brave Little Toaster, although one of the lesser seen animation movies, is one of the best ever put together. The fun characters amuse and delight children, and their silly antics and quotes will entertain adults. The animation is pure, the songs nothing short of pure delight, and the message is one for all ages. It is a bold statement to say that virtually all modern day animation movies pale in comparison to The Brave Little Toaster, but after you watch it for the first time, you will understand why. This has been my favorite cartoon movie since childhood, and when I saw it was finally coming to DVD, I was exstatic! Watch The Brave Little Toaster. You will thank yourself, and so will your kids.
Movie Review: "BLT" is not just a sandwich Summary: 5 Stars
My recent purchase is the third "Brave Little Toaster" (BLT) copy I've bought. The first was for a ganddaughter who wore it out, then lost it.
The second was a replacement when she was about age 17. The third copy, the current one is for my spouse and me. We've watched it perhaps more often than the grandaughter has. It's a perfect morality/integrity tale. Explicit, easy to understand cliff-hanger , without ever being sappy. I'd wanted the third copy for ourselves for several years, couldn't find one in retail stores, and finally, while scouting work boot prices, realized Amazon was a place most likely to provide. And it was. Live and learn. Disc is suuperior to VHS tape.
Movie Review: Amazing. I still love it. Summary: 5 Stars
I remember watching this movie a lot when I was little, and recently I was digging around in our VHS's and found it again. I couldn't resist watching it again! I'd like to buy it on DVD eventually.
Brilliant story, beautiful art, wonderful message. One of my all-time favorite animated movies.
I believe that the rating should have been PG though, as there were some "scarey" parts and the radio actually says "hell" and "damn" at one point. Parents, do watch this by yourself before you show your kids. You can judge if it's appropriate or not, but I tell you, I loved it when I was little and still love it now (almost 18 years old!)
Movie Review: Great film for kids of all ages Summary: 5 Stars
This is a sweet, original and funny movie - kind of Homeward Bound with household appliances. I saw it as a kid and loved it, then saw it again as an adult and loved it anew.
I have to say I don't understand all the people who call it "scary" or "disturbing" - there's nothing in here to rival the darker scenes in Pinocchio (the donkeys, the whale) or Sleeping Beauty (the dragon) or Snow White (the witch) or any number of classic Disney movies. Not to mention fairy tales like Hansel & Gretel!
But anyway, the Brave Little Toaster is a winner by any standards.
