Movie Reviews of The Boys in Company C

Movie Review: Thanks for putting it on 5 Stars

I have been a fan of this movie since I was a teenager back when it came out. I watched it over and over on this new fangled thing called a VHS player. Now, finally it has come out on DVD. The movie itself is hollywood, but that is what you get for just about any movie. I have enjoyed it and continue to enjoy it. I wasn't in the Nam, but am a active duty Marine vet of Iraq, with over 21 years in and I just like the movie. If you want realism, join the Marines and find out. If you want to be entertained, sit back and enjoy R Lee Ermey, Andrew Stevens and the rest of the cast. Whoever pulled the trigger on putting this movie on DVD, thank you! Please put Purple Hearts with Ken Wahl on DVD next.

Movie Review: Youngsters sent to war ....
Summary: 5 Stars

Good story about young men sent into a war they didn't understand. I love and admire the soldiers who fought in Viet Nam, but I have a different opinion of the people in charge who got America in that war. This movie has various things going on, not just a straight ahead action flick. You got young soldiers learning about life while shooting people on another continent. The best, greatest thing about the movie is that we're given a glimpse into the face of the ultimate movie gunnery sgt, R. Lee Ermey!!! Yessir, this is where we first see his role as a drill sgt.

Movie Review: Powerful Movie
Summary: 5 Stars

This film touched on all of the issues in Vietnam for the average American before it became popular to do so. You had your sterotypes that made up the "boys". But each brought more to the role then the 2 dimentional roles written for them. You can relate to each. The acting is excellent for a low budget film. The story is plausable. The ending is memorable. "Platoon" and "Full Metal Jacket" gets more attention. But any fan of war films or "buddy" flicks will be remiss in not adding this to their collection.

Movie Review: omg somebody got the money
Summary: 5 Stars

WOW finally some body got smart!!!!!! or got payed, probably one of the best anti war movies, boot camp(brought back memories)as close as i will say,you will lol, cry, maybe even think!War is not pretty,it is intense, critical,in you'r face decidebility, this movie comes pretty close,to my time, experience, out of country, you would think we would have learned!definitely,a movie to own,BUY GIMEEE TWENTY!

Movie Review: Best of the lot
Summary: 5 Stars

This was the best of all the vietnam movies. If you saw this one first, you noticed Full metal jacket & Platoon were copy cat productions. ? as to why it is so late coming to DVD. Boot camp, AWOL, drugs, politics, body counts, land mines & a soccer game. Good musical overtures as well. Any body remember this line. "Don't F... with Tyrone." Watch it. R. Lee Emery shines as well as the Hispanic Drill instructor.
