Movie Reviews of The Bone Collector

Movie Review: A solid, emblematic and first-rate thriller!
Summary: 5 Stars

Philip Noyce is a very smart filmmaker. And once more he confirms it through this intense and intriguing psychological picture around a notable expert forensic (Denzel Washington) sadly a bedridden quadriplegic who joins forces with a witty female agent (Angelina Jollie) to intend by all their means to get a mysterious serial killer around the low belly of NYC.

Smart clues, notable shots, first rate direction, kinetic script make of this movie one of the five most solid thrillers in the Nineties according the tradition of Silence of the lambs as well as an underneath homage to "The rear window", if you carefully establish the visible connections, due if James Stewart was a visible peeping tom at those times, Denzel Washington is the scrutinizing cyber eye. The paradigm remains, and just the form changes.

Highly recommended.

Movie Review: Bone Collector
Summary: 5 Stars

A very suspensefull film, Danzel Washington performs one of his most challenging roles. The character he portrays, Lincoln Rhyme, becomes paralyzed from a near fatal accident that leaves him bed ridden. Lost without hope, and plagued with seizures, he desperately searches for a means to finally end his suffering. That is until a daring young cop, played by Angelina Jolie, stumbles upon a murder with clues that baffels the department. Using Amelia's (Angelina Jolie) eyes and his own mind for piecing together the clues, a new sense of purpose arises in Lincoln's mind. As the connections to these murders become apparent, each clue revealed is a race against time to find the the next victum before it's too late. A horrifying journey that could lead Amilia and Lincoln to become the next target at any given moment.

Movie Review: THE BONE COLLECTOR WAS A BONE THRILLER OF A MOVIE
Summary: 5 Stars

A great crime/mystery movie. Book lovers and movie lover this was good and I mean VERY GOOD. The only drawback to the film was the many differences from the book, but I gave it five stars For example, Rhyme's character was white in the book. I guess most book adaptations for movies will change the content of the story some what. With saying this, the movie was entertaining and just like the book, the story moves along with, you always guessing who is doing this crime. My last words would be this, "read the book by Jeffery Deaver, first, before the film." Overall, though, the film does not disappoint !

Alright come back to my member page for the next reveiw in MAY 2000. See YA!

Movie Review: Worth the Viewing
Summary: 5 Stars

'The Bone Collector' was WELL worth viewing. I thought it was agreat idea to have a cop, who's paralyzed and has to lie in a bed allthe time and has major technology going on so he can continue to be a cop, try to help a rookie (Angelina Jolie) try to solve a case in which a cab driver kills its costumers. The character developments made by the director and such make you feel for them, even the cab's customers who you only know for a bried period of time. All in all, I call 'The Bone Collector' a mystery drama with great acting that has a great plot with Queen Latifah playing Thelma who you gotta love kind of movie. And oh! Add to that list, a very twist-worthy ending.

Movie Review: A class mystery thriller
Summary: 5 Stars

If you like films like kiss the girls, copycat and silence of the lambs you will like this movie. The basic plot, Denzel plays a paralysed expert in police forensics who was injured in the line of duty. He is asked by his old colleague Ed o'neil to work on a new serial killer case and he accepts but requires that a young rookie cop help with the forensics, they then form a terrific partnership trying to solve the case by Denzel teaching his gained knowldege to his young apprentice. The acting is good along with an excellent storyline. The DVD has a few special features with the usual DVD superb picture and sound quality. Well worth the price.
