Movie Review: A true thriller
Summary: 5 Stars
Lincoln Rhyme (Denzel Washington) is a quadriplegic and a former New York cop who thinks he has no reason for living. He is given a reason when he begins investigating a series of murders, along with a female cop possessing a flair for forensics, Amelia Donaghy (Angelina Jolie)."The Bone Collector" is truly a fantastic film, thanks to many elements.
The story is extremely interesting, and fascinated me from the beginning. As Rhyme and Donaghy desperately try to save lives, they both learn about each other, and realize that they are capable of more than they ever thought possible.
Washington and Jolie deliver powerful, intense performances. Actually, one of the movie's most appealing factors is the undeniable chemistry between the two actors. It is a flirtatious, playful bond that is demonstrated throughout.
Another great component is the score, written by Craig Armstrong. It completely captures the essence of the movie and succeeds in elevating the audience's fear.
The DVD features are adequate, and director Phillip Noyce provides an interesting and informative commentary.
This is simply a great movie.
Movie Review: BONE CHILLING

Despite many negative reviews, I find THE BONE COLLECTOR, based on Jeffery Deavers' popular Lincoln Rhyme series, a pretty effective thriller. Denzel Washington has the difficult role of Rhyme, a forensics genius paralyzed while examining a crime scene. Washington can only use his head and voice in the role and he makes it a convincing performance. Angelina Jolie has one of her better roles as beat cop Amelia Donoghey, who is called in to help Rhyme against her wishes. Jolie is more vulnerable and human than in some of her later roles. The supporting cast is likewise top notch: Queen Latifah shines as Rhyme's nurse Thelma (a character that is male in the books); Ed O'Neill underplays his role as Paulie, Rhyme's former partner; Michael Rooker sizzles as the egotistical Chaney; Luis Guzman does well as the lab technician Eddie; director Philip Noyce keeps the audience guessing and the screenplay uses a different murderer than in the book so fans familiar with the book may be surprised by the movie's denouement. All in all, this serial killer tale is well done and enjoyable.Movie Review: Very exciting thriller!!!

I was very pleasantly surprised at this film. Denzel Washington proves again that he can handle any role that he chooses to play. In this case, he plays homicide inspector, Lincoln Rhyme who has been nearly paralyzed after suffering from an accident in the line of duty. But now, when a mysterious killer begins killing off people in a very peculiar matter, he must team with a hard-headed rookie cop (Angelina Jolie) to solve the crimes. Supporting cast includes Queen Latifah, Michael Rooker, Mike McGlone, Luis Guzman, Leland Orser and Ed O'Neil.
I like the way they have the killer as an intelligent person. Someone who has a knowledge of what he is doing. And the way he leaves clues for the cops to follow. To come up with something this perfect, you must a genius. While not really scary, this suspense thriller is actually thrilling as opposed to the many number of "thrillers" that are not even thrilling. (Example: HANGMAN). Thank you Hollywood for giving us THE BONE COLLECTOR. This is a good one. Highly recommended.....5/5
Movie Review: Can I give it 6 Stars?

An outstanding film, The Bone Collector, brings to the screen the story of a retired detective as he directs police efforts to tackle a particularly nasty serial killer with an affinity for bones...
There are hints of Seven, Resurrection and The Silence of the Lambs, so the movie falls into the action/adventure/mystery/thriller/horror type of category.
Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Ed O'Neill (!) and the rest of the cast, have truly outdone themselves with their performances, which are outstanding to say the least! All the actors, without exceptions, give it their 100% and it really shows (the chemistry is AMAZING)! Very well written and very well presented, it allows for a highly entertaining movie that can be watched over and over again!
The setting, the plot, the dialogues and the music are all wonderful!
In short, The Bone Collector is a movie definitely worth watching and one to seriously consider adding to your movie collection!
Movie Review: Thank god I have a day time job and I am not a movie critic.

I do have a day time job, I am not a movie critic, however, I watch movies in the evenings. In average, I buy 10 to 20 movies a month from this site, and write reviews for some of them. As far as I am concerned, this movie was my best buy for the month of March. I watched it alone on a Saturday night, and enjoyed all the 110 minutes of it. I think the best to way to enjoy this movie, is to buy or rent it without reading the critics, and not knowing anything about the movie. I never read the book, nor heard about it, but I was really surprised with the plot. The acting and the relationship between Mr. Washington and Ms. Jolie was unbelievable. The supporting cast was excellent. The picture quality, the DTS sound is awesome, and the DVD has a making of movie section. Overall, I really loved it, and watched it a second time with the Director's commentary. I would recommend it.
