Movie Review: Not Much Instructional Content
Summary: 2 Stars
This video is not much more than a Robben Ford jam session. He mentions some of the scales he is going to play but that is where the instruction pretty much ends. Robben is a great player and entertaining to watch, but if you want to learn to play like him, you will be disappointed.

The Blues & Beyond reveals Robben's advanced concepts for improvising and comping. Performing his well-known renditions of several blues classics, Robben demonstrates how he plays over chord changes. Robben also discusses phrasing and playing "outside" using pentatonic, diminished, and melodic minor scales. Check out the "Miles Groove," where Robbem plays a great solo combining blues, bebop, and modern "out" lines.
