Movie Review: This ws a great war flim!
Summary: 5 Stars
I loved the way they captured the dogfight scenes but also acureatly portrayed Schtal's own oppinions, emoins, and feelings about the war and the invironment around him. I'm also supprised that it's such an old film because the editing and casting is done beutifully. Overall, I think it was a great movie, exept for the ending; but that's for all you viewers to find out about when you watch this film. I already knew I loved this movie. What is important is that the DVD is of the highest quality and the price was excellent. If you are a WWI Airwar buff, you must see this movie. It is told from the German side of the conflict . Even if you don't care about aircraft, the air war or history, the movie stands on it's own as a mystery, action thriller. Buying through Amazon has always been a pleasant experience for me.Movie Review: "Flying by the seat of your pants"

There are not too many good movies about the WW1 aviators but this is one. It gives an insight into how the war was won and lost in the air with good arial scenes. This is great if you want to
imagine what early flying was like, no real instruments to help you navigate and with very basic controls these aviators were really flying by the seat of their pants. You should enjoy this one, I know I did.

What some people will do to get a medal! An excellent movie from beginning to end, although some of the effects are not as good as they do nowadays. However, the better some modern special effects are today the more they LOOK like special effects. The air combat sequences were pretty decent in this flick, primarily done with real planes. This is such a great movie. The photography and story went hand in hand. George Peppard was a very good actor. He was perfect in this role. Jerry Goldsmith's score was one of his best. The air footage is some of the best ever filmed. Even the combat scenes filmed on the ground looked authentic. They don't make them like this any more.
