Movie Review: Great film...horrid DVD cover art
Summary: 5 Stars
I don't know what the Warner Brothers marketing team or whoever is responsible for the DVD cover art for this film were thinking. The artwork presented here has little to nothing to do with this 50s era monster masterpiece. It's a shame to see such a terrible cover for this underrated stop animation gem.
Trust me, this is a fantastic B movie with allot of historic attributes. Don't let the cover fool you, read the reviews on this film and make the purchase if you like classic monster movies like THEM!. The transfer is excellent, kudos to WB for that at least. 5 stars, easy.
Movie Review: Still Has Sting

This is one of the most underrated films from the era. Aside from the cheesy rubber scorpion head they use for close-ups, the effects still hold up today and the stop-motion arachnids really give their contemporary CGI counterparts a run for their money. The story keeps it simple and Richard Denning is likeable as ever. However, the scorps are the real stars and boy are they manacing! Where else can you see a giant bug derail a train?Everything you want in a B monster movie.

I bought this dvd today, and is amazing.The stop-motion animation is very good, and the story is pretty good too, (maybe a little naif, but ok).
I remember I saw this movie on tv when I was a child, and it was a BIG surprise to find this dvd.
Don't waste time buddys, get this DVD, an amazing 50's movies sample!!!

What a great movie. An active volcano releases giant scorpions into the modern world.1950's Sci-fi staple Richard Denning stars in this classic as an archiologist working in mexico.
