Movie Reviews of The Big Hit

Movie Review: One of my top 10 films
Summary: 5 Stars

Every person that has reviewed this movie so far is an idiot.

This movie is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Plus it has Christina Applegate in it. And Sisko (Avery Brooks) from Deep Space Nine. What more could you want.

Moments that I still laugh about years after first seeing it are;

1. Lou Diamond Phillips when the phone rings. The use of slow motion is perfect.

2. Avery Brooks laying down the law to Lou Diamond Phillips when suddenly his phone rings at the worst moment. "Give Me That..."

3. Elliott Gould's speech at the dinner table.

I needed a gut transplant from laughing when this film was finished. A must see if you are still brave enough to smile in front of your feinds - unlike the idiot credit card shopping yuppies reviewing this film on here.

Movie Review: Men with guns.
Summary: 5 Stars

Quite a controversial film, from some of the reviews I've scanned. Loathe as I am to say it, it must be a love it or hate it kind of thing. And as usual with such things, it comes down to whether you get it or you don't. If you get it, you'll see a film that has action sequences the likes of which you won't witness elsewhere with a smattering of comedy thrown in to keep your interest between gun fights. We're not talking high-brow hilarity but a definite and pleasant amusement. Let's be honest though, that's not why you want to watch this film. You want to watch this film because, like me, you saw the cover and knew you really shouldn't overlook a film upon which are plastered the enthusiastic faces of four men with that "look how many guns I have" look in their eyes.

Movie Review: 5 stars for the bathroom scene!
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie was a fun parody of the usual oh so serious, profanity laced, god hating hit men movies that populate the first five years of the new milennium. China Chow is gorgeous as a sassy schoolgirl with a lack of fatherly affection. We see this manifest itself later when she depends on Melvin Smiley (Wahlberg) to assist her in tasks while she is handcuffed, such as cooking in the kitchen and using the bathroom.

I liked this film, but I'm really giving it five stars for the sexual subtext of the bathroom scene. He has her, she is his. She informs him she has to pee. He carries her and then pulls her underwear down for her. He learns what it is like to have someone depend on him instead of him depending on everyone else.

Movie Review: Hot Hitman
Summary: 5 Stars

This was really the first movie that you got to see Mark be a leading man. He really showed that he could carry a movie not only the action end of it but he showed that he can add humor to it as well.
I've seen all but 3 of his movies and i can seriously say that this is one of his BEST films!!!
My top 3 Mark movies would be:
1) The Big Hit
2) The Italian Job (he does some really hot driving in that movie)
3) Fear (he might play a creepy character, but he shows a lot of range with his acting in it)

Movie Review: Should've been a big hit...
Summary: 5 Stars

This is again one of those movies you must not take too seriously. If you do, you will be spending that 100 or so minutes sitting and wondering why are you watching this...

Plot in a sentence: four contract killers go moonlightning and accidentally kidnap their boss' god-daughter and mayhem follows...

Don't miss this gem! There are so many in-movie jokes, parodical remarks, sexy booty and great-off-the-wall action you have to see it twice to catch them all...

Favourite line: "You can't handle the truth!" (not a mistake!)
