Movie Review: The Best Movie is The Best Man!
Summary: 5 Stars
this film captured the essence of another dimension of african-american culture. malcolm lee brought the images of educated, successful young black people to the forefront and i am so grateful. the characters were very indicative of my college friends and the storyline was superbly written and executed by the most talented black actors in the business. terrance howard's character stole the show :) but everyone gave 150% and i'm glad the story was able to be told before a global audience. it is one of the best films ever made!Movie Review: One of my favorites and a great start from Lee

The Best Man was one of my favorite films of 1999. The ensemble cast which includes Taye Diggs and the very sexy Nia Long are all good. The film reminds me of a urban The Big Chill which is cool. Morris Chestnut also made a good return to film in this heartwarming film. If Tyler Perry were to team with Malcolm D Lee, he'd have a truly amazing film on his hands as The Best Man is the type of the film Perry can one day make it given practice. This is one of those movies that you'll love to watch again and again. It is a interesting look at a group of friends who come together for a special event.And how strong their friendship and faith has to be to overcome some tough times during that weekend.I love this movie, and who wouldn't with such a great cast great story line. Warning...you'll be drawn into their lives and be addicted to the drama that unfolds, and will want to watch it over and over. Frist of all I'am a romantic at heart, I loved this movie, seen it twice, and could'nt wait for it to come on dvd or vhs which ever came frist. All I can say is that I made my husband go and he detest movies, but he enjoyed this one. Taye Diggs and Nia Long were great, she's one of my favorite actresses. It was spicy, funny, and very romantic! Every now and then I pull it out and watch it, I'll never get tired of looking at it. Of course I am attracted to this movie because of Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, and the beautiful chocolate Morris Chestnut. Yet another attraction is that these characters are professionals, established, and have a storyline. I am happy that this movie was made. For every ghetto movie there needs to be 100 movies like this, to show that African Americans actors can do more than be on drugs, sell drugs, on welfare, and women showing their bodies. I love this movie. It is great.
