Movie Review: THE BEST OF THE BEST
Summary: 5 Stars
This movie is fast becoming a classic. It was well written, acted and the cast was beautiful. Though the cast was of African American actors, this is movie for all ethnic backrounds.It tells of a group of college friends that reunite for a wedding, but the wedding itself is not the story, its a semi-ficticious book written by one of the friends. Why is the book so paramount? Its actually a true account of events that had occurred between the friends when enrolled in college. The movie also gives an accurate depiction of quality of the up and coming African Americans in the entertainment industry. Everyone did a masterful job! I could not imagine anyone else playing in their roles. The directing was great and the ending was expected but moving. I cried!Terrance Howard should have been nominated for an award for best supportng actor. He made this film as realistic as your reunions with your families and friends. The Best Man is a great movie. For Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, and Terrence Howard, it is truly one of the highlights of their careers. It has a great blend of comedy and drama and a handful of moments you'll be bringing up in "Remember when" conversation for years to come. And as for movies that center around relationship drama, this movie is for guys too. This is the type of chick-movie that will get guys laughing outloud at the screen and getting sucked into the "What's going to happen next" drama. The icing on the cake is that it shows African-Americans in a positive light, with careers and identities that ate not stereotypical; and even the characters that aren't the most inspiring, by the end of the movie you'll take pride in their triumph and be rooting for them all. The Best Man is truly a great movie. One to add to any collection.Movie Review: A Perfect Gift.

First of all I would like to say that I saw the movie 20 times in theaters.This movie really hit home.Being a 22 year old african american I can really relate to the movie.The cast was a perfect choice. Looking from the Director's point I can understand why he would release such an exquisite story.I totally believe this is the best black film ever made because there was no violence and the characters were mature enough to accept the responsibility of the mistakes they made in the past.What a beautiful wedding.I personally hope one day to meet a partner as sweet and adorable as Lance Sullivan(Morris Chestnut).I truly hope that more movies similar to this background will be released. What I mean is we need more black films that are upscale and sophisticated instead of ghetto and violence.This film is a must to add to your video tower.Movie Review: Whew!!

This movie rocks! I watch it over and over. Harper was really sumpthin. Whoairs their dirty laundry, then sleeps with your best friend's chick AND dedicates the book to them. He was trippin. Jordan was my girl. She like Harper, she wanted HArper, but in the end, they remained friends. Julian and Shelby. Their relationship reminds me of a good man who can't seem to see that the woman they have, is not good for them. I'm happy how the ending of their relationship happened. Quinton, was hilarious. He wanted to tell Lance so bad that Harper had banged Mia, but he didn't. Lance was a bit selifsh. All the cheatin he had done and he actually expected Mia to be faithful. Yeah, she got her groove on, jus with the w the wrong person. This is a good movie to watch with your girlfriends ladies or your man.Movie Review: Movie of the year

I really enjoyed this movie. My entire family went to see it and we had a wonderful time. I believe that if this movie didn't contain an all black cast that it would have been nominated for an award. This movie had everything that is needed to make a movie be considered for an award. It made you laugh, it made you cry, and it made you try to figure out if that's what really happened. I'm still debating with friends and family if Taye Diggs ever made love to the bride while they were in college. My guess is no. The directing was excellent and the acting was the best that I have ever seen. I go to all the black movies. I'm definitely going to get this one, along with The Wood, for my collection. (Taye Diggs is in The Wood, also)
