Movie Reviews of The Bells of St. Mary'sMovie Review: Classic Movie of two personalities learning to work together for a common purpose! Summary: 5 Stars
In this classic movie Ingrid Birgman and Bing Crosby couldn't be more different in their personalities and yet they learn to give and work together for a common cause; training young people to be responsible adults.
Not much would get accomplished if Crosby's personality would reign supreme and yet if Bergman's personality dominated there wouldn't be the compassion that is so need in training children.
When both personalities begin working together for a common goal, harmony results. I believe this movie was more of a learning experience for these two role models than the children themselves.
A must see to appreciate what I'm trying to say!
Movie Review: A Christmas Gift Summary: 5 Stars
Margaret Lawrence
Sixy Three years ago, I saw this movie for the first time and have enjoyed watching it through the years. The song from the movie THE BELLS OF SAINT MARYS has alway been one of my favorite songs.
When my husband and I was married in 1961, THE BELLS OF SAINT MARYS was played at our Wedding.
During this Christmas season, families need to watch this movie and renew
the story is brings, love, sharing, and giving of ones material things to
better our neighbors.
Movie Review: Bells Rung Sweetly Summary: 5 Stars
This version of the Bells of St. Mary is a clear, restored cut of the original version. Crosby and Bergman shine brightly in the staring roles of Fr. O'Malley and St. Bernadette. Leo McCarrey's script is a winner as is the supporting role played by Henry Travers.
A feel good movie for the whole family. So let those bells "Proudly ring out As we sing out Hail, Hail, Hail!"
Movie Review: Favorite movie Summary: 5 Stars
To correct an earlier review, the movie was not edited to eliminate the words "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance. Those words were not added to the Pledge until the 1950s, about five to ten years after the movie was filmed. That being said, Bells of Saint Mary's is one of my favorite movies. When I first saw it 30 years ago, it made me an instant Bing Crosby fan.

Thanks for having just the right DVD movie title for the best price. My wife and I have an annual tradition at the Christmas season to watch The Bells of St. Mary's. The only copy I could find in my movie collection was VHS. I needed a DVD version for our tradition so I turned to the best possible source. Quick shipping and a good price saved the day. Thanks Amazon.com.
