THIS IS A REALLY GREAT MOVIE ABOUT A MANS STRUGGLE TO REACH HIS DREAMS WHEN ALL APOSE HIM EXCEPT HIS FAMILY. AS HIS PLANS TO REACH FOR THE STARS DRAW EVER CLOSER. A PHYSICALY GRIPING AND EMOTIONALLY BINDING EVENT AS YOU ARE CAUGHT UP IN HIS STRUGGLE TO BECOME ALL HE CAN BE. A MUST WATCH MOVIE AND A GEM FOR ANY COLLECTION. My family loved this film. The Astronaut Farmer portrays a strong model of a father, one that is often (if rarely) portrayed in film. The last half of the film had us nearly in tears, and the ending left us feeling like we could conquer the world.
While there is some mild profanity, this is a must see movie for all families, and especially all fathers.

This movie was fantastic. I think what a lot of people are missing is that some movies, while not actually plausible, are meant to entertain. This is a work of fiction; it should be taken as such. As a result, it's a feel good movie with fantastic imagery that you can't help but love, so long as you take your "impossible" disposition out of the equation.Movie Review: The Dreamer

This is truly a story of love, commiment, heartache, and triumph. It tells of a man's dream to to build his own rocketship to go into space and orbit the earth. He accomplished this with love of his family depite government interference, and the prospect of foreclosure on his land. Totally wonderful movie to see over and over again.Movie Review: What if...

Say what you will about suspension of disbelief, but just for a moment this story made me wonder. Maybe it's not all that impossible to figure out a way to affordably go to space from my own backyard, and then come back home on time for supper. For creating this ephemeral thought, this movie deserves five stars.
