Movie Review: A movie for dreamers
Summary: 5 Stars
This movie is perfect, I could not have been more moved by the story and Billy-Bob Thorntons acting. When you walk into a movie, whether its based on a true story or not, you either "buy into it" or you dont. Like "The Man From Snowy River", its not a real story but an incredibe and wonderful adventure.
If you are a dreamer I believe this movie will touch you deeply. When one "dreams" he/she is essentially believing that something wonderful is possible, against all odds, and if you want to realize that dream you must hold on even when everyone loses faith. All of the emotional highs and lows of that experience are captured beautifully in this movie.
This movie is in my top 10 favorites of all time. Dare to dream!
Movie Review: One of Billy Bob Thornton's best films since Sling Blade!!! A top "flight" family film!!!

This is a great film,it's about a family man who builds a rocket in his barn and actually gets it to work,yes NASA spends oodles of our tax payers dollars and this guy(Billy Bob)does the same thing for next to nothing using money he raised himself!!! A great family film!!! Kinda think of this film as Field of Dreams with rockets instead of a baseball field!!! One the best newer films i've seen in a long long time!!! There are a few nice extras on the disc too!!! The supporting cast is stellar too,Virginia Madsen,JK Simmons,Bruce Dern,Tim Blake Nelson, and a suprise unbilled appearence by Bruce Willis!also give great performances!!! This is the best movie I have seen in several years (re-watching now). If you are expecting a comedy, don't. Will it make you laugh; yes at times. Will it make you cry; no but you will feel the emotion. This movie shows a family with a mission to fulfill a dream. I some times forget that I am a dreamer and this movie reminded me of what I considered the most important part of being human; dreams. Watch it, because I guarantee you will not regret your decision to do so.
For those who like to dissect movies (like me), don't, just watch it and watch it again.

This is one in a thousand, an excellent movie that the whole family can watch and not have nightmares afterward.
Time compression was unbelievable though, too many things happened too quickly. But it was just a story, a clean, reasonable, imaginative story. If it weren't for ones like this and Secretariat. our family wouldn't watch movies.

Movie Review: Out Of This World!

You can look at all the other reviews around here to get an idea as to what this movie is all about. All I will say at this point is that it had heart, and a whole lot of it. In a Hollywood where new ideas are currently few and far between, it's refreshing to see something like this...an original idea with a cast and crew that pulls it off without a hitch! Astronaut farmer is out of this world!
