Movie Review: Fun and awesome DVD

The Aquabats DVD is really great. If you like their music you'll love the DVD but you're not familiar with the band this is also a great way to get to know them and their music. Many indie/punk bands put out masturbatory DVDs that are only interesting to hardcore fans of the band (Less Than Jake and Catch 22's DVD are like that). But this Aquabats DVD has a really tight documentary that is fun and really informative. Plus the full length show is really professional. The only problem is the menu screen weren't that well created. You have to restart the DVD to go back to the main menu. But over all this is an awesome DVD. If you're even a mild fan you should buy it and if you've never checked them out defiantly rent it.Movie Review: The Aquabats Rule!!! Although they rnt the greatest ska band

I saw them live at henry ford theatre in hollywood on the 11/15/03 and bought the dvd at the concert. It was some awesome. The aquabats concert r crazy. I didnt expect it to be like it was. But the Dvd tells it all. I no alotta r think those guys r cool yea there concerts rnt that good. That was the best concert i have eva bin to. Ppl were skankin every where. And at the glass house when they played u could crowd surf rite onto stage. It was pretty cool. This has to be the greatest dvd of all time. And theres always this weird looking guy at all the concerts with a camera. And hes like balding and has a pony tail. i think hes there photographer or something. I have never been to an Aquabats concert in my life.
This is probably as close as I will get.
Watching this makes me even more depressed that I will most likely never get to see them live.
They make my soul smile.
And throw up rotten half-and-half.
I can only describe this DVD in one word.
Phenomenal.
Buy it because you want to see The MC Bat Commander's shorts droop periodically lower as he dances around on stage, or because you want to watch a timeline of their succession, or because you want your soul to smile, too.
I love The Aquabats.

If you're already an Aquabats fan, you should love this DVD. The sound and video quality are mediocre at best, but what were you expecting? I find it surprising they were able to throw together a DVD at all. However, looking past the technical issues (including the issues in the concert itself. d'oh!) you'll get a fun Aquabats concert experience. I just saw them live, and the dvd comes as close as possible to capturing the excitement of the live show. if you weren't lucky enough to have been an aquacadet since the 90's or haven't been able to attend multiple the aquabats shows, WATCH THIS DVD IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN WHAT THEY'RE ALL ABOUT. most impressive band dvd i've seen to date! a full, up-to-date high quality live show, a band-made documentary, all their music videos, a second dvd full of clips from old ska shows, an easter egg of the band singing with a retarted kid, what else could a fan want?
