BLACK STALLION Mickey Rooney returns as veteran horse trainer Henry Daly, the role that earned him his fourth Academy Award nomination, from Carroll Ballard's critically praised 1979 screen adaptation of The Black Stallion. This story follows the further adventures of The Black from Walter Farley's books, as Henry and young jockey Alex Ramsey (Richard Ian Cox) enter him in France's biggest horse race, the Prix de Chantilly. Approximately 90 minutes/COLOR LEGEND OF COUGAR CANYON The beautiful and desolate Navajo tribal lands of the desert South-west are among the wildest, most rugged of all areas, where many legends haunt the windswept mesas and many creatures stalk the lonely canyons. The native people tell the tale of Cougar Canyon, where danger and wonder walk hand in hand, and when a young goat wanders away from the herd, two young boys must go alone to seek her in the haunted canyon. What they find, and what finds them, is an adventure into danger in this story for all ages, full of colorful Navajo folk tales, breathtaking scenery, and incredible footage of the battle for survival in the animal world. Narrated by sagebrush star Rex Allen, The Arizona Cowboy (TV's Frontier Doctor), this semi-documentary was shot on location, with members of the Navajo nation, and is also known as The Secret of Navajo Cave.
