Movie Review: Hillarious!
Summary: 5 Stars
It's nearly impossible to make a movie that's funny for everyone. This movie kept me laughing nearly the whole way through.
I was given a copy of it on DVD as a gift without having seen it previously. I didn't watch it for a while because I had low expectations, but I was delightfully surprised when I did.
What it is: some slapstick, but mostly more intelligent humor. Less potty humor with an emphasis on sex. It reminds me of Office Space to some degree with the antagonist being virginity instead of the oppressive workplace manager. If you're a fan of Office Space, you'll probably like The 40-Year-Old Virgin.
What it isn't: it's not a movie for the proverbial family. It has crude moments, some racism, lauded lawlessness, and a general theme advocating what many religions regard as immorality. If any of those things aren't for you, avoid this movie.
