Movie Review: I do not recommend this version of the telenovelas...not worth neither your time or money
Summary: 1 Stars
It began as a very interesting and different story...then suddenly, there have been so many useless cuts in the film that you do not understand what has happening...the father who was a high figure in politics suddenly is in hiding for having killed people, what has happening to the wife etc...I even wrote to the company editing the movie and i have even not received an answer...looks like they edited the film quickly while sleeping or in between...Do not buy this NOT RECOMMENDED
Summary of Telenovela - El Candidato
Ignacio Santoscoy, is enjoying the prime of his personal and professional life, thanks to his arranged marriage with Maricarmen Manriquez, the daughter of Juventino Manriquez, an old school politician. The power Ignacio has been given by his father-in-law has taken him to preside over the General Secretariat of the Popular Alliance Party, making him one of the most important figures in politics. Even after so many years, Ignacio has never been able to forget his one true love, Beatriz Manriquez, who is his wife s half sister. Beatriz becomes a member of the political party and meets Abel Santana, a political cartoonist, who saves her life from a assassination attempt. Abel falls hopelessly in love with Beatriz, even though she is the daughter of the man he considers one of the most corrupt politicians. Ignacio, filled with jealousy and rage, tries to destroy Abel s credibility and intentions toward Beatriz so he won t lose her. Now the Manriquez family must live out one of the most intense and difficult elections, giving rise to a fight for power, glory and the family name. Amidst all this chaos, Ignacio will have to make a choice between his one true love or power.Ignacio Santoscoy, disfruta de la plenitud de su vida personal como profesional gracias a su matrimonio por conveniencia con Maricarmen Manriquez, hija de Juventino Manriquez, un politico formado a la vieja guardia.
