Movie Reviews of Teen WitchMovie Review: Is it a girl thing? Summary: 2 Stars
Granted, I'm a guy.. but this movie is bad on sooo many levels. What irks me the most though, is that it didn't have to be. The actors and production aren't horrible. But the script and/or editing were... well, they just weren't.
I picked this up for some mindless escapeism, but all I got was mindless, and was actually insulted a bit. Some stuff like the goofy white boy rapping I shrugged off to the time it was made and the fact that this was made for tweens. But that tongue probing the lead got from her desired just seemed inappropriate for what seems the target audience.
That being said, it was only the one scene that lasted maybe 2 minutes. But the rest of the movie is just such a wasted effort. Every time it seemed to to be headed someplace.. it didn't. Not every film needs to be of social and crtical value, but this isn't much more than moving flashing lights on a screen. What really bugs me though, is that this could have easily been so much better.
Considering all the positive reviews here though, I guess is proof that I still don't understand females at all. So take this review with that in mind.
