Movie Review: Superb skating to excellent music
Summary: 5 Stars
Not sure why the other reviewers downgraded it so much because of the relatively small rink on the stage. My wife and I just finished looking at it and were engrossed with the spectacular production and superb skating. We were never put off by the size of the stage and were wowed by the skill of the artists.
Technically the video is the best possible on DVD and is VERY close to Blu-ray standards. However I cannot say the same about the audio as it was not well balanced with no deep bass and a generally constricted bottom end. DTS was ok but not as good as possible and if the skating and general artistry (costumes, lighting etc) had not been so good I would have downgrade it from the 5 stars given.
Bottom line, if you like skating and Tchaikovsky's music, go for it.
