Movie Review: Taxi (Widescreen Edition)

Belle Williams is a speed demon. Flying through the streets of New York in her tricked-out taxi, she's earned a rep as New York's fastest cabbie. But driving a hack is only a pit stop for her real dream: Belle wants to be a race car champion. And she's well on her way, until she's derailed by overeager cop Andy Washburn, whose undercover skills are matched only by his total ineptitude behind the wheel. Washburn, whose lack of vehicular skills has landed him in the precinct doghouse, is hot on the heels of a gang of beautiful Brazilian bank robbers, led by Vanessa, their cold, calculating and leggy leader. To nab the evasive crooks, drivers license less Washburn convinces Belle to team up with him to pursue Vanessa and crew. Belle has carte blanche to drive at any speed and break any law. The car less cop and speed demon cabbie New York's unlikeliest partners begin a high-speed game of cat and mouse with the robbers. That is, if Belle and Washburn don't end up killing each other first. The action is fast, and the chase scenes are just great. Taxi is a good time because of the rest of the cast and the storyline is fast paced action. Queen Latifah alone is worth watching.Movie Review: Enduring Comedy, Jimmy Doesn't Look Half-Bad Either!

I watched this film in theaters and on HBO. And everytime I see Jimmy, my heart melts into passion and I'm sure alot of other girls do that to once they find his humor so sexy! The girl he wins is not bad looking either, and as for his mom, I got two of her films. Now...Queen Latifah is like the star of the film! Heck, she is! I love her name in it...Belle is such a beautiful name and it fits Latifah's personality quite well. Jimmy in it...is a great cop and a little bit clumsy, but he's great! You know what? I like that Diana Ross song too! It's my favorite as well! Jimmy really did save the day and Belle's life in the movie. And that's another thing...I like about him. He's very heroic and can still be Mr. Funny. Anyway, I would reccomend this film to anybody who loves humor, Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon! And I should know lots. I might get it for Christmas. Taxi (starring Queen Latifah(Taxi Driver) and Jimmy Fallon(Slapstick Cop)) is "chock full of the nutty antics" of Fallon) and the comedic timing of them both ,with much good acting from their many "second bananas" inclusive of New York's Finest(cops)and the villains being a quartet of 4 Portuguese women with the human interest chapters being of Fallon's mom (due to being a litty tipsy good at making liquers a la Margueritas) and Queen Latifah's boyfriend who melts down Fallon's police badge to a "money clip"..The stunts are just right;car chases made less tedious with discussions as to where 'the pursued' were at different moments in time; and ends with the "Shero(heroine)"(Queen Latifah) changing careers(for the 3rd time: bike messenger, cabi/hack),then as a racecar NASDAQ driver sponsored by Banks of New York).Movie Review: Very Funny!

I Like a lot although I didn't see it in cinema, rents it, that night I laughed for heap, and I advise this movie to have it in the collection of each person's DVD, any thing made by Queen Latifah is also very good, the persecution scenes are excellent, really everything is very amusing, also with Jimmy's participation who is very famous to work in Saturday Night Live, this it puts him a lot a touch but amusing, the director is also tim (Barbershop) that but we can request.Movie Review: Vehicle fit for a Queen!

This movie is SO darn funny! Jimmy Fallon and Queen Latifah truly play off each other so well - you can tell that a lot of the dialogue has been ad libbed. One of the funniest movies I've seen in a long while! Ann-Margaret does a wonderful job playing Jimmy's drunk mother, and Henry Simmons ("Belle's" boyfriend") is wonderful eye candy! Jennifer Esposito portrays a wonderful Lt. to Jimmy as well - great cast, great movie, great laughs. BUY IT!
