Movie Reviews of TangoMovie Review: The Ultimate Tango Movie Summary: 5 Stars
I've been dancing and performing Argentine Tango for 5 years now. This movie is inspirational and entertaining. I've met a few folks who have several parts in the film and the level of skill and passion they possess is true to the heart of Tango. I'm not sure why Sally Potter has not transferred her film "The Tango Lesson" to DVD, what's up with that? VHS only? This should be in everyone's library if your a beginner or advanced dancer a must see. LIBRA TANGO!
Movie Review: Just beautiful... Summary: 5 Stars
This is a an absolute feast of music and dance. I am not going to go on about the artistic side of the movie itself, cinematography and etc. as personal choices might differ there, but I will say that "if" you like Tango music and/or dance, DO NOT miss on this movie!! All dance scenes are absolutely beautiful.. And the music is very authentic and played by the masters (you will get to see them play), some live recorded during the movie, all just amazing!
Movie Review: Tango Excellence Summary: 5 Stars
Well conceived, directed and acted! Tango was inserted into this story seamlessly and beautifully. The story itself was excellent and had several fascinating twists. As for the dancing, all that can be said is "FABULOUS". Music and dance in this film is top notch. For me the final determination of a film is whether it can be watched more than once. Truthfully, this will be one of my favorites for all times.
Movie Review: Spellbinding Summary: 5 Stars
One of the best movies I've seen. Virtuoso cinematography will make you want to view this film more than once. Visually spellbinding, compositionally complex and emotionally moving, this movie completely involved and transported me. I also learned a lot about what tango really is, and some unexpected things about archetypal relationships between the sexes.
Movie Review: Excellent for tango lovers Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent, brilliant dancing and I love the fact they have explained the origin of tango, during the sequence of italian inmigrants arriving in Buenos Aires, with the music of "Va pensiero"from Nabucco as a background, so well suited. The plot is of no consequence, since Tango is the star of the show. A real pleasure to watch over and over.
