Movie Review: TAKE THE LEAD dvd
Summary: 5 Stars
TAKE THE LEAD was an excellent dvd with lots of diversity of music and dancing. I especially enjoyed the 'snappy' music accompanied by the school youth detention's style of dancing with that music. Bringing poor/rich, black/white, cultural backgrounds together sometimes clashing, combining and moving forward >> based on a true story plus to have that man in the film is even more inspiring. I absolutely love this movie, my husband and I have watched it a million times already, the cast, story, and the music is just superb. It deserves an academy award.
I just wish in DVD format, we can go directly to the movie, rather than having to fast forward through several advertisements.
Love Pierre Dulaine, Antonio Banderas, Alfre Woodwart and all the "Dungeoun Kids".
DVD is good condition.

This movie portrays the possibilities given to underpriviledged students when just one person steps up and "Take the Lead." The film is about Antonio Banderas, who teaches an inner city group of deliquent high school students how to ballroom dance. Throughout the movie, the students discover dance is a way to escape day to day problems. In the end the students learn a lot about "the outside world" and have respect for themselves and one another.Movie Review: Amazing

I was amazed by this movie, but I am mainly an action movie fan. But I seen this with my girl and we both loved it. Nice dancing by everyone, u never become bored and it kind makes u wanna learn ballroom dancing after. Oh yea my favorite part was when the teacher takes one of the girls from his dance studio to his classroom and wows his students with is amazing salsa dancing skills.Movie Review: Ballroom Dancing Meets Street Dancing

This movie rocks, it has a lot of talented kids in it and the dancing they do in this movie is awesome. i like how they combine Ballroom dancing with street dancing. It's awesome. This movie is good. and what Dulaine did for these kids was awesome. This movie is based on a true story. You gotta see this excellent film.
