Movie Review: Viva la Voight!
Summary: 5 Stars
Watching this movie was the first time I realized what a great actor John Voight is. And the child actors are terrific, as well. And I almost stopped this movie about 1/4 of the way through, because it seemed sappy and slow - which IS the way it starts out - but hang in there; it really gets good. As the title probably suggests, this is not an action film, but it has a great deal of heart, and very good dialogue, acting and directing.
P.S.
Just wondering what all the `suggested' tags regarding religion are doing down at the bottom of the set-up page for this review? I see `christianity, religion, jesus, faith...' there's nothing at all religious about this flick, and religion has nothing whatsoever to do with the plot.
