Movie Reviews of TMNT

Movie Review: Almost perfect!
Summary: 5 Stars

Despite most of the reviewers left not so good reviews, this movie is indeed a very good movie. It was absolutley amazing!! This movie took me completely by surprise. I mean I knew it would be good, but I didn't think it could be as good as it was. From the amazing CGI to the incredible action/fighting scenes it (nonliterally) took my breath away. Don't get me wrong the original was good but it never really took itself seriously, which is good for a movie with giant turtle suits, but now that it has gone from live-action to CGI, it is much more believable and can finally be more serious. One of the most intense and eye pleasing scenes of the movie had to have been the scene between Leonardo and Rapheal on the rooftop. I could feel my mouth drop at least 2 feet. It got sore after a while and I had to close it but the amazing was not over untill the movie was over. It did suffer from some poor dialogue and from few laughs but it is still a movie not to be missed. I can't wait until this comes out on DVD.

Movie Review: Great new story in the tale of the Turtles
Summary: 5 Stars

I am very pleasently surprised I took the chance and bought this movie. After the first three movies, I thought the movies had run their course. With the aide of Computer Graphics, the turtles had new life put into them in a way live action can't.
This story flows just like a comic book, starting with Leo on a training mission in central america, and a new story being started about a general who wished to take over the world 3000 years ago, and gained the power of immortality. However, he unleashed onto the world something he did not excpect. The turtles left in new york (Don, Mike, and Raf) are in dissaray. Splinter is frustrated, Casey and April are worried. Buy this movie, see how this unfolds, and await the sequal, which is inevitable. Relatively kid friendly, a light PG film. Much better than some other "kids" films. Both widescreen and Full screen are on this one disc, excellent value.

Movie Review: Great!
Summary: 5 Stars

I just loved this film. I was so nostalgic that I watched it twice both with a big ol smile on my face. Though even if I hadn't been a fan as a child I would have still enjoyed this movie. It has character development, action, comedy, and a collective team orientation- even the foot soldiers joined the turtles to overcome the obstacle. I think its a great film for any age. I am also pleased that they will be another (based on how it ended.) The only thing that as a female bothered me is how they portray females even in animation. In this animation April and the leader of the foot soldiers were both sexy gals with tremendous curves- couldn't we get the average gals with the average physiques (I don't remember April being vuluptous and she def wasn't sexy besides she looks like a Teenager herself in this one and she should be atleast in the mid to late 20's.)

Movie Review: damn excellent, saw it twice
Summary: 5 Stars

i did not use to be a huge TMNT fan, but my son is. we have every TMNT film ever made, including the feature films.
this film is amazing in many respects.
characters are well defined, so i finally know which NT is which, good at what, fighting with which weapon.
but man, ANIMATION is amazing, the detail, sunlight thru trees, reflections, shadows, details of background, the way characters move.. lok for the scene in which leo and raf stand in the rain. is so amazing, it's like they and the rain are not dawn at all but totally live!
story is good enough, it's entertaining, interesting, holds water.
i'm glad no more shredder, the chief villain had never been my favorite.
wow movie, my son (4.5) and i saw it twice, and i'm sure we'll go to the movies again soon.

Movie Review: For fans old and new
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been a fan since I was a kid and that goes way back to the beginning. But even new fans will get a kick out of this film, kids and adults alike. The animation is spectacular, giving the scenes an almost real feel to them, especially the rooftop scene in the rain. You won't see better animation. The plot was driving and humorous and though you won't recognize the voice-over actors that did the turtles, you'll enjoy hearing them over and over again. Chris Evans and Sarah Michelle Gellar throw in their vocal talent for Casey Jones and April O'Neil. Patrick Stewart is delightful as Winters and I wouldn't mind hearing him do more voice-over work.

Overall, I give this film a huge thumbs up. A must buy.
