Movie Review: Freakin awesome!
Summary: 5 Stars
After seeing the preview for this movie... i wasn't very impressed. I didn't understand why they had to make the movie an animated movie. I didn't understand why the turtles were so damn skinny. I wasn't convinced at all that it was going to be a great movie, but i had to watch it anyways because i've always been a TMNT fan.
Boy was i wrong. The movie turned out great! I like how the story began... it was different and it was something i wasn't expecting. The movie was funny and entertaining. As soon as the movie ended, i already knew i had to have it.
The Video quality is excellent! You can't really go too wrong in making a animated movie a blu ray release, but there's a scene in the movie *Leo vs Ralph: on top of the rooftop* that is just so amazing to watch.
The Sound quality was good. I can't really say it was great or horrible, but the sound was good enough for me.
A must add for your collection for blu-ray/TMNT fans!!!
Movie Review: Simply awesome!

I bought this on a whim, hadn't seen the movie and didn't have high-hopes that I'd like it. After watching it though I have to change my tone, the movie is beautiful--the big downside is that I really didn't follow what was going on because I was too busy sucking in the eye candy every moment.
It looks awesome in hi-def, and will definately be my "this is blu-ray" movie of choice to show off to friends.
Speaking of the movie itself (not the graphics) the parts that I did catch made me more than happy. They didn't slaughter the turtle characters, or any of the other main players. I'll have to watch it at least a couple more times so I can actually pay attention, but I loved what I've seen so far.

Quite simply, this movie looks absolutely stunning. If you own a Blu-ray player, you must own this movie. The HD transfer was done beautifully, and will make a great showcase for showing off the wonders of HD.
As for the movie itself, that's great too. Having grown up with the Turtles in the 80's, this movie was a must-see. As another reviewer mentioned, I wasn't too pleased with the scrawny look of the CGI Turtles. But I have to hand it to them, the CGI turned out beautifully and I hope there are more Turtles movie like this one to come. The story was sharp, entertaining, and witty. Every TMNT fan must own this movie.

This movie rocked. Many fans (but more likely, just critics) give a poor light on this movie because it is digitally animated and not costumed actors. Well, that's dumb (It's not like the actors in the prequels were Jet Li or Jackie Chan...). The graphics in this movie were impeccable. Live action cameras can't get the kind of angles that CGI can.
The action was awesome. The story was rich and compelling without denying the characters growth in their personal canons while still maintaining the personalities and attitudes we've all come to know and love.
Bottom line, I can't wait until the sequel comes out.

I have been a turtles since I was in elementary school so it was good seeing them come back to the new and old generation of fans. The movie is really good, it does not have a really deep story line since its not trying to be an oscar contender. Whats its trying to be is a fun action movie for the whole family to enjoy, and it delivers.
