Movie Reviews of Swing Kids

Movie Review: Swing Kids
Summary: 5 Stars

To the reviewer from Chicago, movies like Swing Kids are known as CULT CLASSICS. Movies that might not be critically acclaimed or too successful, can and are still adored by many people. Movies are for entertainment, and you don't have to agree that this is a good movie, but you also don't have to be rude.

This is a good childhood movie and memory for many. If you watched this when you were younger, its a lot of fun to go back and watch it again now.

Movie Review: Classic tale of dystopic vision
Summary: 5 Stars

On the surface this film is a fun filled heart-wrencher that examines the lives of a group of young Germans when Hitler and the Nazis come into power. On a lower level, subconcious even, it harkens to classic dystopian themes, individual dislikes system that is in place, individual mock embraces system, system discovers this, system wins in the end.

Movie Review: As good as I remember it, and slightly better now that I'm older and understand some of the references.
Summary: 5 Stars

Swing Kids has always been a favorite movie of mine, since I first saw it in college. Seeing it again after having been in the music business for 8 years, many of the musical references and jokes are clearer to me now and made the movie that much better. Musician or not, I highly recommend renting/buying this flick.

Movie Review: I love this movie
Summary: 5 Stars

I first saw this movie when I was around 16ish. I rented it because Christian Bale was in it. Anyhow I loved this movie sooo much. It was sad and the music in it was amazing. It inspired me to pick up swing dancing. The soundtrack is excellent too. I own it and if you don't have it you should really really buy it.

Movie Review: A MUST SEE
Summary: 5 Stars

I watch it over and over and never tire of it. It's an awesome story, the cast is perfect, and there is always something new to observe. Robert Sean Leonard is squeeable and the three boys who star in the piece can make a fangirl out of anybody. Even a couple boys I know ^_~.
