Movie Reviews of Sweet 15

Movie Review: touching yet interesting
Summary: 4 Stars

I watched this movie because, it was part or our curriculum called quinceanera in our Spanish class. The three major themes were that Marta helps her dad a lot, there is strong trust, and there is loyalty in family. I liked the actors because, they were really good and they were very serious in their acting or their part. My favorite part in the movie was when Marta's youngest brother said, who is Richard stand in the pledge of allegiance but it was for which it stands. I think everything was good in the movie. I would recommend this movie for people who aren't from the U.S. and could get deported if they don't have real forms that are illegal so get real forms.

Movie Review: touching, yet informative
Summary: 4 Stars

This movie was very heart warming. It brought out diffrent prespectives from all the charecters. The three major themes were tradition, love and pride. I enjoyed the actors and the way they expressed the way they felt about their traditions. My favorite part was when Marta decided to help her father out with his personal every day problems. It showed me she had respect for her father. I didn't like when the girls cause a distraction to their local communitty. This video is good for spanish students who want to learn about a Sweet 15 or be informed on tradition. I recomend this to anybody who wants to learn about something new or diffrent.

Movie Review: A gloomy story
Summary: 4 Stars

We watched this movie in Spanish class because we were learning about the Quinceanera. The movie dealt with immigration, deportation, the quinceanera, and family issues. I thought the movie was asi asi.It had drama and it kept you waiting for what was going to happen next. I liked that it dealt with immigration and deportation. My favorite part of the movie was when Marta helped out her father when he was in a bad situation. I didn't like that the Mexicans were being deported. I didn't know that they did that. I would reccomend this to teachers and people who are Spanish.I do not think this is for kids to be watching. i think this film was interesting.

Movie Review: Funny and touching, yet informative!
Summary: 4 Stars

The movie Sweet 15 is absolutely outstanding! The movie teaches the viewer about Mexican traditions and how immigrants lived. In the movie the Marta took the risk in helping her father with a big problem that her father was having. My favorite part of the movie was when Marta and Octovio were praticing for the traditional dance El Waltz, which was going to be performed at a special event. A part I didn't like was when Marta and her friend created a big distraction to the people in the market when they were in public. I would recommend this movie to a Spanish teacher would is teaching her classes about Mexican tradition on their curriculum.

Movie Review: funny
Summary: 4 Stars

I watch this movie because we had to for spanish class.I think the three major or minor themes in the story are that Marta like a boy named romon but her father didn't, after marta's father boss ask for his papers that he didn't have but made every body think he did he told marta that she couldn't have her party because he needed all his money just in case thay had to go back to mexico, and marta's friend told every body in the party that her uncle died so she can't have her party.I like that it had you wondering what will happen next and that it had action romance and a little bit educational.
