Movie Review: Simply put...Hysterical!
Summary: 5 Stars
I must admit, I thought it looked stupid when I saw the theater previews, and the first time I saw it (back in 2002), it didn't strike me as all that funny. I found out that, for me especially, this is one of those movies that you need to give a second chance, because when I did, I enjoyed it thoroughly. I just had to get myself in the frame of mind that THESE GUYS ARE COPS, and their actions don't reflect those of most policemen today. I can't stop watching it, even now 2 years later. It has an original cast of characters (most of which this was their debut to the big screen) and an incredibly random and chaotic storyline that jumps all around from the highway cops just doing stupid things and having a great time, and we get the laugh at their expense. I don't want to get myself started talking about this movie because I could talk about it for quite a long time. If you haven't seen this, and know cops or even are a cop, you need to see this, and I think you would thoroughly enjoy it!Movie Review: English EC Review

This movie is by far one of the best movies of all time. This movie is filled with two hours for straight laughter. I have yet to find a person that has not found this movie funny. This movie is not a serious plot line movie but still keeps you on the edge of your seat. The movies plot line has to do with a highway patrol station that is endanger of being taken over by the near by police. In order for the highway station to stay open they must find a way to impress the governer of the nearby town into allowing the Highway patrol to continue. Although the movie was not a big hit in the theater's, it has made good money sence the realease of the dvd version. The movie was filmed by a group of college students and without much promotion barley made it out of the cutting room floor. I give this movie 5 stars because of the non stop laughter and decent plot line. If your are looking for a good moive to enjoy this saturday night Super Troopers is the movie for you.Movie Review: The sleeper hit of 2002, this is just too funny!

I (reluctantly) went to see Super Troopers in the theaters, having only seen the trailer which looked somewhat funny. From the opening scene to the end credits I was in tears from laughing so hard. A couple times I was a little worried that I would pee my pants it was so hilarious! What makes this movie a "must see" is that it is written, directed, and performed by the underground comedy group "Broken Lizard," whose deadpan delivery and perfect comic timing make this one of the biggest side-splitters since "There's Something About Mary." I read several reviews that criticized ST for its lack of plot, which is true. The storyline is essentially a vehicle for a series of highway patrol gags, pranks, and shenanegans. But thats what makes it work! For Broken Lizard's first screen effort, they really nailed it. I am personally counting down the days until Super Troopers is released on DVD. Lets hope there are plenty of special features.Movie Review: watch this movie Right Meow!

I usually pass on "stupid" comedies. Comedy movies typically have a certain wince factor to them....when the plot has backed itself into an impossible corner for the sake of laughs and has to resort to the Serious Moral or the Spontaneous Recovery or some other plot device to create a feasible ending. I can't stand that---it breaks up any momentum the humor has and wrenches you back to reality.This movie doesn't. The cast does whatever on earth they want, and if it doesn't make sense in the real world then hey, it's a movie! They spend 100% of their time making you laugh so hard that you practically choke on the tears running down your face.
After you watch the movie (and not before!) be sure to watch all of the commentary/outtakes on the dvd. You will never look at that syrup-chugging scene in the same light again. You may never look at syrup the same way again!
Movie Review: Takes Frat Humor to New Levels

I normally don't go for the frat house humor comedies...I went to see this only because it was the first outing my husband and I had been on without our son in a year and the movie we wanted to see was sold out. Not wanting to waste precious babysitting time, we decided to see this movie on the recommendation from one of his coworkers. Neither of us had seen previews for it. Aren't we brave?From the first scene through to the end, I laughed so hard, that my cheeks and my sides hurt.
For weeks, our conversations were peppered with "Trooper-isms".
Like another reviewer, I am a grown woman who appreciates good comedy, humor and wit. I found Super Troopers to be hilariously funny, not too overdone and with the budget they had, Broken Lizard produced the next cult classic.
I look forward to more movies from this group.
