Movie Review: ...In A Blaze Of Glory...

The sun is dying. Earth is in the middle of permanent winter. A gigantic ship called Icharis has been lost. Icharis contained a small crew and enough fissile material to re-ignite the sun. Now what? Icharis 2 is on its way! SUNSHINE is a tense, slowly-building tale of hope, desperation, insanity, and ultimate sacrifice. Would you give your life in order to save the world? This question is asked throughout the movie, as each member of the I2 crew faces extinction. If you enjoy sci-fi that stimulates the old cranial area, then SUNSHINE should be a treat. Yes, there are huge thrills and unexpected chills, but the story is quite well thought out, and adds depth to the visual extravaganza. Highly recommended...Movie Review: you will love it or hate it

this film is for people that pay close attention. i mean if u want a movie u can get into this is it.

2.i didnt really like the camera jumpin around towards the end but it did add to the suspence
overall i thought the film was well done and i wish i could have seen it in theaters a lot of my friends love it and some hate it. like my title you will love it or hate it.
Movie Review: I Could Watch Sunshine A Hundred Times
Summary: 5 Stars
This film was suprisingly one of the most thought-provoking and moving I've seen. The imagery is powerful and the cast is superb. The characters were not stereotypical; they were really quite gender neutral, which I found a relief for a science fiction flick. The nuances of their personalities and individual backgrounds (revealed or not) gave the movie great texture and depth. The score is perfect; the effects are spectacular. The visual imagery alone makes the movie superior to so many other similar films. Plus the DVD extras are really wonderful, with so much to watch after the film is over. Danny Boyle has this way of making a movie stay with you for a long time after it's over.Movie Review: A new SciFi Classic

The special effects are A+ and puts a lot of American Scifi movies to shame. A great study in the human condition on long space flights with the job of saving humanity and the Earth from extinction. There are heroes and sacrifices as the unique ship makes it way beyond the orbit of Mercury and near the Sun.
The first 3/4 of this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat as you actually become part of the crew (not so easy to do, but this movie succeeded with it). The last 1/4 of the movie borrowed heavily from Event Horizon, but still succeeded in delivering.
While limited in its movie release, it will become a SciFi classic.
Movie Review: Visually Stunning
Summary: 5 Stars
One of the most visually stunning movies I've seen in a long time -- it's kind of the antithesis to Inland Empire (Lynch) which is all about dark. This is all about Light - Sunlight to be exact .. it's use and philosphizing about the effect of so much sun is quite amazing.
Yes -- a real mission would be a bit more military then scientific - and of course you don't deviate from the plan -- but, once you get past the bad leadership of the captain - you are along for such a beautifully concepted and shot movie you will be amazed.
We rented it yesterday and I am buying it today - and I'm not a collector (outside of nature docs & Surf films :-)
