Movie Review: Stunning HD experience

As a film Sunshine has some brilliant and wonderful moments of sci-fi goodness.... and devolves into a shoddy horror flick at the end. Nevertheless, with so little high end science fiction in existence, this is pretty much a must have for any aficionado.
I originally saw Sunshine in 4k digital projection. The exterior CG sequences were absolutely mind blowing! And this beautifully done 1080 Blu Ray is nothing less short of stunning. You can sit 4 feet in front of your TV and marvel at the detail - it takes me right back to that 4K projection. Very little digital noise and blocking, incredible sound. Definitely a WOW piece for your Blu Ray home theater.
Movie Review: The audio is amazing!

Sunshine from Oscar winning director Danny Boyle is just riveting! What's there not to like about this pic? The acting is solid, the cinematography is out of this world, and the score and sound of this blu ray are showcase material. Easily a must own for fans of the film.
This is a film that requires multiple viewings. The story is of a group of astronauts that are trying to blow up the sun to save the planet. They are not the first ones to attempt such a feat however. I like this film more every time I watch it. Emotional and hypnotic, this is truly a film to check into!
Movie Review: Need PIP access button

Best true sci fi film I've seen in a while. Great visuals, dialog, direction, soundtrack, etc. Pretty good story too. Be warned that, as other reviewers have noted, there is a problem with at least some disc/blu ray player combinations which engages some commentary as a PIP box during regular playback. It is extremely annoying. There is no fix available in the menu, however a quick press of the PIP button on your remote will fix the problem. Those of you with players lacking a PIP button (PS3, etc) appear to be screwed. Just sayin...Movie Review: Mix of Armaggedon and Event Horizon

Had not heard much about this movie, so i wasn't expecting anything. What a excellent surprise we had. It is a mix between "Armaggedon and Event Horizon".
What makes a excellent movie is that you can not anticipate what's coming next, you think it's gonna be one way and the story turns out to be far from what you expected...really, really far.
Next thing that makes a excellent movie is the music. No good background music, no good movie. This one is just awesome.
A must see piece of art.
Movie Review: Sleeper Sci-Fi hit of the year!!!

This is a gripping Sci-fi film directed by Danny Boyle (28 Days Later & Slum Dog Millionaire)with a fantastic and believable atmosphere. The plot does fallow some classic Sci-Fi movies to a point, but when you mix in such a talented director and a great cast you come out with Nerd Sci-Fi bliss.... The music is original and new age with a STRONG character role and the gloomy hallways and the underlining feeling of aloneness makes this movie one of my top Sci-Fi movies of the decade!!!
