A Classic from thwe 80's, the best song of the 80's by far.
The movie seems to be a bit far from romantic or comedy, its sort of a hero playing movie, but let's get it straight, an 80's hero, which is very different from a XXI hero....

Most people don't realize that this film is really a modern-day Iliad: Helen (Diane Ladd) is kidnapped by the Trojan Prince Paris (Dafoe) and has to be rescued by Ulysses (Michael Pare). "Streets of Fire" blends two genres succesfully as it mixes the proven good-guy vs bad-guy fight over the beautiful damsel in distress with a killer soundtrack, including star Diane Lane doing her own singing.
This is a great Sunday afternoon movie.

I can't get enough of this movie and after seeing it again on TV decided to buy a copy so I can enjoy it again and again. I just love the sound track and wish Fire, Inc. had produced an album.
