Movie Reviews of Streets of Fire

Movie Review: 80's flashback fun
Summary: 5 Stars

I remembered this movie from when I was younger as being campy and fun. It is still fun, with songs by Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Ry Cooder... Bill Paxton is the dorky bartender, and Ed Begley Jr. shows up as a bum. Michael Pare flamed out shortly after this, but Diane Lane, Willem Dafoe and Rick Moranis went on to have pretty great careers and it's fun to see them in this crazy movie. The story is mythical, kind of an Orpheus thing, but the drama is played over the top.... oh, and Amy Madigan is in it as a soldier for hire. It was fun.

Movie Review: A "Grows on you kind of flick!"
Summary: 5 Stars

Ok...when I first saw this movie the first thing out of my mouth was..."Ok...what was that all about?" lol...but after watching it again...and being a really big (self-proclaimed) Michael Pare fan, I gave it another try, and was really suprised that I enjoyed it! It grows on you...it's a "You can't help but love it" kind of film! The more you watch it, it becomes a guilty pleasure! A must see...if you like the kind of movie that you can love, and still think..."WOW...I really like that?!?!?!"

Movie Review: DIANE LANE stars in STREETS OF FIRE. A classic!
Summary: 5 Stars

This comic book stylized film starring the ever wonderful DIANE LANE (The Perfect Storm, Hardball, Judge Dredd) truly deserves it's status as a cult classic. The soundtrack rocks and the imagery is sensational. It's style is unlike anything else and it is a brave and entertaining attempt at doing something different. The film is also notable for early roles for the aforementioned Diane Lane, but also Bill Paxton and William Dafoe. A true classic! 100% recommended especially for Diane Lane and director Walter Hill fans.

Movie Review: Streets Of Fire Is Hot!!
Summary: 5 Stars

What I like about this movie is the music, The blasters realy know how to rock.
Sorcerer was originaly written by Stevie Nicks and then she and sheril crowe remade it for stevie' lattest project.
I love this movie! my now adult kids love this movie.
Between the six of us we own three movies and four soundtracks!
The era of the 50s and the modern music with a suttle hint of mainstreem video technology realy grabed me.
If you like fairy tales this Rock and Roll Fable is a must see!!

Movie Review: Rock On
Summary: 5 Stars

Great film from beginning to end. A very powerful and moving drama that sort of like a Rock and Roll fairy tale. Great soundtrack as well but it is a shame that neither one of them did not receive the attention they richly deserved. Some say there should have been a sequel but I don't think that would have been possible unless someone decides to come along and do a remake or a prequel. But still this movie is even better now than it first came out years ago. Definitely to watch again and again.
