Movie Reviews of Streets of Fire

Movie Review: Streets of Fire
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of the best movies ever made - It is a spoof that knows it is a spoof - very good dialogue and absolutely great music! "In the Blue Shadow" is one of the all-time "best-ever" rock and roll songs. Ry Cooter is a genius.

Extremely well done - excellent casting - A movie to see multiple times - I first bought it an a CD just to have it, and later purchased it on VHS, and then DVD. The sound track is also very much worth having.

Somehow or other this movie got lost "in-the-cracks." It makes one wonder about the value of the critics.

Essential for any collection!

Movie Review: Streets of Fire Diane Lan
Summary: 5 Stars

Amid a brooding rock & roll landscape, the Bombers motorcycle gang, led by the vicious Raven Shaddock (Willem Dafoe),kidnap diva Ellen Aim (Diane Lane). Her hope for rescue lies with unlikely heroes: soldier of fortune Tom Cody (Michael Pare) and his sidekick, the two-fisted beer-guzzling, McCoy (Amy Madigan). Joined by Ellen's manager,Billy Fish (Rick Moranis),the trio plunge headfirst into a world of rain-splattered streets, hot cars and deadly assassins.

Excellent Diane Lane as Ellen Aim - Top Movie
Streets of Fire is a rock & roll shotgun blast to the senses.

Movie Review: One of a Kind!
Summary: 5 Stars

This film is really not like almost any other you've seen before. Some might say it's a little like Blade Runner-their similarities lie in the crossing of the sci-fi genre with another type. This is a unique combination-it's mixes elements films like West Side Story(musical) and sci-fi/futuristic elements among other things to create a totally unique new environment for a movie to play out in. If you get sucked in(and I do), you won't want this movie to end. It looks incredible on dvd! Let's all just take a second and thank Walter Hill for making so many darn good movies!

Movie Review: A movie to see again and again
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great movie! I own it in VHS and DVD and have seen it probably 50 times. The music is great and it fits seamlessly with the action. Okay, so the plot isn't anything new and the acting maybe leaves a little bit to be desired, but it's still a great movie experience, with some classic lines like "Everywhere I go, there's always an asshole". Amy Madigan's character is worth the price of the DVD. You'll want to crank up the sound. Nancy gives it a definite thumbs up and so did Siskel and Ebert when it was first released.

Movie Review: If you're looking for action, if you're looking for romance, if you're looking for Rock N' Roll...
Summary: 5 Stars

Best summed up in three categories: William Dafoe, Rock N' Roll, and a Hammer Fight.

You haven't seen epic like this since, well, NEVER! Did Aragorn ever duel someone with a hammer? No! Did Harry Potter ever take down a biker bar with the aid of a butch dike mechanic? No! This movie will blow you mind all over TV and then punch you in the face.

Ever have that feeling of not being complete? Once you watch this movie you will make women swoon, men step aside, children hush, and the lights dim at your arrival.
