Movie Review: Not a good love story, not good family values
Summary: 1 Stars
I was disappointed in the movie. It was supposed to have values, but what kind? The main character's boyfriend wants her to move in with him, and her only excuses are that he wasn't committing to her and she didn't want to be in his place, not that it is just flat out morally wrong. Her friend isn't much help. Cheat on your boyfriend of 5 years to make him jealous. If her boyfriend was such a loser- which I think he was, why did she stick with him that long in the first place? And then, she is only with a rancher for a few days, he treats her like a jerk because he has his own issues, yet she falls in love with him anyway- after only knowing him for a few days. On top of all that, there's too much "mild" swearing. Mild or not, I find it offensive- especially in a film that's advertised for having good values. Once I got past the shock of the low values in the movie, I had to deal with the annoying bickering that went on between the rancher and the city girl. They were acting like kindergarteners the whole time, to get married in the end. Yikes! What is this world coming to? Okay, just a personal preference here, I get tired of movies with constant arguing and people putting eachother down to prove something, although some people may think it's entertaining. I will put one positive note in- the scenery was beautiful, but I think I'll save myself a headache and look at a picture on my wall instead.
