Movie Reviews of Stitch! The MovieMovie Review: Stitch and friends are back! Summary: 4 Stars
Stitch, Lilo, Nani, David, Jumba, and Pleakley return in this sequel to last year's Lilo & Stitch. But if you are a Elvis Presley fan, you will be disappointed, that this movie doesn't follow the orginal, it only has one Elvis song, and that is Slicing Sand. But if you are not an Elvis Presley fan, you will be glad that you won't have to sit a lot of his songs. Stitch (Chris Sanders) is dispappointed, that he has no cousins in Hawaii, even if they are not releated. Then Captain Gantu (Kevin Mihcael Richardson), who was retired after his last mission, is hired by a Dr. Hammstaviel (Jeff Bennett) is a hamster mistaken for a gerbil, to collect all the 625 expierments from Stitch's creater and his ex-partner Jumba (David Ogden Stiers). Gantu shows up, and Lilo (Daveigh Chase from Lilo & Stitch and Spirited Away) thinks that Gantu is back for Stitch. When Jumba refuses to give up the other 625 expirements, that starts from eggs, Jumba, and one of the expirments who makes great sandwitches, is kiddnapped. Lilo's older sister Nani (Tia Carrere) and her boy friend David are out, and has left Jumba and Pleakley (Kevin McDonald) in charge. Stich and Lilo go out to try to rescure Jumba, and then Nani and David, returns to find Lilo absent from the house. Nani leaves to look for Lilo, while David stays back at the house, in case Lilo returns. Lilo and Stich returns when thier mission to save Jumba failed. They find Pleakley locked in a box, and then Pleakley finds the other 624 exiremnets, and intricts them to leave them in the box where they are in.
Movie Review: Maybe not as good as the original, but it succeeds Summary: 4 Stars
Serving as the introduction to the TV series "Lilo & Stitch," this short direct-to-video release brings back all the characters from the original theatrical release Lilo & Stitch. Aliens Joomba Jookiba (David Ogden-Stiers) and Pleakley (Kevin McDonald) have become (somewhat involuntarily) members of the "ohana" (family) of seven-year-old Lilo (Daveigh Chase), her big sister Nani (Tia Carrere), and the mischievous blue construct Stitch (David Sanders) who was originally Joomba's 626th experiment. What nobody but Joomba knows is that he somehow managed to bring all 625 of Stitch's predecessors to Earth with him in dehydrated capsule form. And the disgraced and vengeful Capt. Gantu (Kevin Michael Richardson) has just been hired by Joomba's disgruntled financial supporter, Dr. Jacques von Hamsterviel (Jeff Bennett), to find both Joomba and the experiments--which, of course, he does. With Joomba kidnapped, Lilo and Stitch set out to restore their ohana by rescuing him--which entails catching one escaped experiment, Sparky, who can cause power surges and electrical explosions. Social worker and former CIA agent Cobra Bubbles (Ving Rhames) and the schoolteacherish Grand Councilwoman (Zoe Caldwell) are back too. Though it's not quite up to the original, this is a fun family film with good pace and a seriocomic villain.
Movie Review: More Hawaiian Fun Summary: 4 Stars
If your child enjoyed Lilo & Stitch then she will like this straight to video sequel. Most of the voice cast returns in Stitch: The Movie which has Jumba being kidnapped and held for ransom by Captain Gantu and a weird rabbit like creature. Jumba has brought all of his 625 previous experiments to Hawaii - Lilo and Stitch release them by submersing them in water and then must try to get them to use each one's unique power for good in order to rescue Jumba. The artwork is rather flat; definitely not on par with the original's beauty, but what can you expect for a movie so hastily done? That said, my daughter LOVES this sequel, and I guess that's what a review like this is all about - I definitely recommend!
Movie Review: Stitch -- The TV Pilot Summary: 4 Stars
Stitch! The Movie is a good movie, although you have to have seen Lilo & Stitch to understand it. It's quite short, and nowhere near as good as the original. I was irritated by the fact that it turned out not to be a real movie, but essentially the pilot for a TV series coming this fall. Still, I'll watch the series, too; this was a 4-star movie. So, what happens if Stitch's 625 previous experiments are let loose? That's the premise of the TV series, not this movie. Only two new "cousins" appear in this movie--625 and 221--and only 221 has a major role. In the series, Lilo & Stitch will interact with all the other experiments; I wish they could have done a bit more in the movie.
Movie Review: A worth to buy sequel! Summary: 4 Stars
I have heard from some critics that this movie was so dissapointing. I hardly agree. Though the movie does lack the funny kick in the ... laughter, this sequel seemed to do very well! I bought the movie today, and watched it once I got home. I loved it. It was a 'cute' movie. I know what 'Pokemon' is, and I do not agree it's going to be like that. I love disney movies, and I will always do. But if they do make sequels, make it more thrilling than the original! (or the same)The Special Features, I do not really care for. They are not worthy seeing.
