Movie Review: The Queen of Rock in a great new concert

Stevie Nicks releases her first solo concert on video since the 1986 "Red Rocks/Rock A Little" release! But this time, it's a full two hour show, and no fake close-ups!! Nicks burns through an amazing set of classic hits as well as some covers of Dave Matthews, "Crash into you," and Led Zep's "Rock and Roll." Filmed in Chicago, 2008, for the PBS SOUNDSTAGE program, this is what fans of the Queen of Rock have been waiting for! Stevie looks stunning, in shape, and in good voice here. Starting out with a twirling BANG with "Stand Back," Nicks looks happy and full of animated energy. Classic hits, including rarely performed smashes like "If anyone falls," and "Sara" and the return of back-up singer(and sister in law) Lori Nicks make this extra sweet! Stevie is as phenomenal now as she always was. Everything that makes her music, songs, gorgeous inside and out - STEVIE NICKS rocks the house. Her solo career is amazing because SHE is amazing.
Yes, get this DVD and I also recommend "Crystal Visions... The Very Best of Stevie Nicks" to go along with it.
Great music that never gets old, no matter how old we get.

Movie Review: A Must Buy!

I have been a fan of Stevie and Fleetwood Mac ever since my Mom bought a copy of 'Rumours' when I was 7 years old. I became an "avid" fan after seeing her on the 'Rock a little Tour' in 1986.
Unfortunately, I just missed out on getting tickets to the taping of the live performance of this DVD. After seeing it, I am even more sorry that I didn't have the opportunity to see such an incredible show. Stevie LOOKS and SOUNDS fantastic!! If you are a Stevie Nicks fan at all, this DVD is a must have. Also, if you haven't picked up her last solo album, 2001's 'Trouble in Shangri-La' do yourself a favor and purchase both now!!!

Movie Review: As good as seeing Stevie in the front row!

I sat in the front row and watched Stevie at her live concert at DTE Music Theater in Clarkston, Michigan. It was the most awesome concert I'd ever been to. Stevie kneeled down and shook my hand and thanked me for coming to the concert. Other than that experience, this DVD is the best Stevie I have ever seen or heard. I am a Stevie lover and bought this DVD soon as I heard about it. It is probably the only video recording of Sara (Sara Smile). Once I started watching it, I could not stop, watched the entire video. Quit reading this review and go buy the video, sooner you buy it, sooner you can feel good about watching it like I do.Movie Review: A Must Have DVD for Stevie Fans

I just saw Fleetwood Mac in Atlanta, Georgia. They put on a great show! I've seen Fleetwood Mac three times and Stevie Nicks solo on two different ocassions. She never disappoints. The "Live in Chicago DVD" is really a must have for her fans. This is a production she can be proud of...great song choices, wonderful sound quality, classy, fun, and a lot of wonderful rock and roll! Don't miss the extra "Landslide" version with the orchestra...it is beautiful! I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't love it and be glad she got these tracks down in great form. She's better than ever! Enjoy. I know you will!
