Movie Review: You'll Lose Sleep Over This One Summary: 5 Stars
Scary, scary, scary. No doubt, the best King adaptation next to The Stand, and in this case, I thought the miniseries was better than the book. A group of "loser" kids band together against a monster in clown form (oh, the delicious irony of clowns...) Years later, their efforts are needed again. You'll be hooked and filled with dread from the opening scenes of this miniseries. There are many familiar faces from television among both the adult and children "losers" including, the gone too soon, John Ritter. The second part is slower than the first part of the miniseries but that's just because Tim Curry was THAT GOOD! Even so, the entire piece comes together for a satisfying conclusion.
Movie Review: IT Summary: 5 Stars
This film was indeed one that frightened me since my childhood and continues to do so now. Tim Curry as "Pennywise" or "IT" is magnificant and the cast creates a natural simplistic feel of a group of children in a eerie small New England town. If you enjoy Stephen King's work then you'll love this film. Although some scenes could have been better if allowed to show graphics, the film produces a terrifying response from all viewers. Not only does it provide a solid storyline, it leaves some scenes to the imagination which at times are incredibly petrifying. It questions your own town's mystique and will forever make you afraid of clowns. Enjoy it guys!
Movie Review: The Killer Clown strikes again...and again...and again.... Summary: 5 Stars
Is it the supernatural? Satan himself? The old monster in the closet? Richard Thomas' character doesn't know but it took his little brother and left him and his friends of a small, Maine town warped in mind and spirit. As a writer of the macabre I adore the chilling suspense and the character interactions in this Stephen King classic. Both book and movie are well-worth the purchase. The movie has a fine cast, is well directed and the special effects are also excellent. And Tim Curry will chill your socks off with his bravura performance as the Killer Clown. But where does the monster come from? You'll have to watch the movie and wait and see! The Winds of Hell
