Movie Reviews of Stephen King's It

Movie Review: in the top 5
Summary: 5 Stars

this movie was great. i watched it once as a kid and was terrified beyond belief. now i'm 23, and i still cover my eyes on some parts. stephen king has been the master of horror all the way back to the christine days. he really did it this time though. this movie was intended to give you the creeps more than anything else. for instance, the atmosphere of the town was always wet and gloomy. plus, pennywise appears in the weirdest places like the shower room and graveyard scene, which adds to the scares. it is a very unique movie. it's make you develop a phobia of clowns that will stick with you for quite a while. i only wish they could have included tim reid in the final parts of the film (him being one of the main chars and all).
one last thing, the gas station scene has to be the creepiest scene i've ever watched in a horror movie.

Movie Review: It is the one
Summary: 5 Stars

Stephen King's It is the one for you. It is a must have for your collection. Very true to the book in many respects, It will keep you up at night as the book did. The characters are played in this series just as they are written in the book. While it is true that some liberties were taken with small details, it is also true that the taking of these liberties does not in any way detract from the spirit of the book itself. Indeed, the portrayals of the characters brings a new life to the true horror which the book It inspired in it's readers. the sound is Dolby Stereo, and the commentary seems to have ben cobbled together from two seperate recording sessions, yet, even these factors will NOT detract from your utter delight as you become totally emersed in this wanderfull work of absolute and brilient horror.

Movie Review: IT Horror at its best
Summary: 5 Stars

The movie had a certain sense to it that only King could bring out in his writing, although directed by someone else, the movie like most of his other novels takes place in Maine. Maybe he has a conflict with his home? I gave it five stars based on how he uses the shape-shifting ability to grab the childrens worst fears and bring them to the surface, that maybe have been put away for a long time. Like me for instance i'm 17 and I don't have a real problem with clowns tell I see the movie and I just have a dfferent outlook on clowns. Tim Curry, (the clown),pulled the horror look and off beautifly, best choice, I think. if you wan't a well thought out, no running up-stairs tripping dumb woman, no-plot and one of the best scripts ever this is the, "BEST", choice. This movie got me started on horror maybe you.

Movie Review: They all float down stream!
Summary: 5 Stars

The first thing I said when I watched this movie was "Hey, Seth Green is in here!" Well actully I saw it awhile back but didnt notice Green was in this movie, probably because he wasnt a star then. Anywho, this is a great movie. The special effects are top notch, the cast is made up of all stars, and Tim Curry puts on a chilling performance as the killer clown. This movie does not have gore but it still delivers on the chills. It sort of reminds me of anther King novel turned movie, Stand by Me. Instead of friends looking for a dead body, they are fighting an evil clown that kills children. I do admit the movie is long and there are so cheesy moments, but I still enjoyed this film. I wonder if they had made this movie for theaters, if it would have had more gore. Highly recommend this movie anyways.

Movie Review: wow
Summary: 5 Stars

This was one of the best horror movies I ever saw. It had a good story, good cast, and good scenes. It's about a group of kids in a club called "The Losers Club" and are constantly being picked on by class bullies. They all begin to be stalked by a killer clown, which is really light. The clown's name is Pennywise and he has been around for thousands of years terrorizing and killing innocent children. The kids finally kill the clown and that day, they vow that if IT ever comes back, they will return to kill it.

And IT does come back. 30 years later. Then they have to kill IT, before IT kills them.

I dont want to give anymore away, that would just ruin the story for you.

When you watch the movie, be sure to look for the character Stan! Isn't he hot?
