Movie Reviews of Stealing HomeMovie Review: The friend and the mentor Summary: 5 Stars
What happens when you recall the past? What happens when you recall the past and realise you did not become what you always believed you were supposed to?
This film is about finding your way through life and about having second chances at doing that.
It's about true friendship and how the death of someone special can make you review your options and change your life for good. It's about past and present come together.
For a long time, Katie's (Jodie Foster) last wishes have been my favourite movie quote. It truly touches your heart and leaves you wanting to live your life to its fullest.
Great oldies soundtrack.
Movie Review: Beautiful Summary: 5 Stars
I was very moved by this story when I first saw it in the early 1990's. I found myself watching it again just last night at work - here I am 15 years older, at a place in life that I never expected to be, when the losses of my adolescent years seem light years away. But this story doesn't bring it back as much as it solidifies those experiences and the story even has greater resonance now. "Stealing Home" is a story dealing with the fundemental losses we face as people. It is poignant without being cheesy.
Movie Review: I'm so glad I found it again! Summary: 5 Stars
I watched this show for the first time when I was a senior in high school. My friend and I had the soundtrack and loved all the songs. I just happened to be watching TV the other day (something I rarely do) and it was on. I had totally forgot what a great movie it was! I was seriously mesmerized for an hour. The songs just took me back. I didn't see the beginning so I went on a search to find it. I figured Amazon wouldn't have the DVD and soundtrack, but, voila! That's why I love them. Thanks Amazon!
Movie Review: A must see! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a film, if you keep an open heart and open mind, that will touch you deeply, man or woman. Everyone has those moments of innocence that stay with you forever, sometimes you just forget they were there. This movie deals with this in an excellent way showing how your dreams of youth can be a reality, just maybe not what you expected. Mark Harmon plays an excellent role but the real diamond here is Jodi Foster. Outstanding and uplifting. A real inspiration!
Movie Review: One of my faves Summary: 5 Stars
I saw this movie years ago and have it on video. I watched it because I was and still am a huge Jodie Foster fan, I bought it not only for Jodie Foster's performance; but for the whole package. This movie had everything and the emotions the movie brought out in me, still come out everytime I watch this movie. The soundtrack was awesome and David Foster's song in the movie has me crying from the first note.
