Movie Reviews of Stargate SG-1 - Season 10

Movie Review: 10 years of devotion, please give us so devotion back.
Summary: 5 Stars

The season (season 10) seems to have come to an end - and a good end at that, but for a Series Finale there was so much left hanging that I went back to my DVD box and made sure that I hadn't forgotten a DVD. After that I called the company I bought it from and asked how many DVDs there were suppose to be. I knew tha thtis was the end of the series, but I just couldn't beleive everything that was left hanging!

Of course I heard the reasons (i.e. Star Gate Atlantis was originally suppose to be a stand a lone show, the actors on Star Gate SG-1 are getting too old), but truthfully I only watch Atlantis because of SG-1, since they tie each other together. And as for the age of the actors - as long as they have the energy to act, I will always have the energy to watch their hansome bodies and great acting skills each week.

Basically, I want to know what happens to the story lines that were just left hanging! There is at least a season left of story lines left to work with. If that is not an option then please be kind to your devoted fans and make a mini-series (say 3 weeks or 3 DVDs of 2 hours each to finish the stories). I was loving the Merlin stories and riddles and now it seems that there will be no resolve to them - that isn't right.

Your fans kept you around for 10 years, please give us an ending that answers some of the questions that we have.

Movie Review: It's a sad ending to a great TV series
Summary: 5 Stars

In case you aren't familiar with the show, this is the final season DVD set.
It's a TV show that lasted 10 seasons and gave the viewers a realistic world of science fiction that often made you think if it's really fiction.
Imagine finding an ancient artifact that allows you to travel light years away to another planet and explore the unknown. What you discover is fascinating, exciting and dangerous; We are not alone and we are not as advanced species as we once thought.

I've been a Stargate SG-1 fan since the beginning.
This DVD will complete my collection as I already seen all the episodes. This is for my personal archive of what I consider the best Science Fiction show.
I have been a long time fan of Science Fiction. I watched various Star Trek Series, Space 1999, The Avengers, Doctor Who, just to name very few.
I loved them all for what they gave me; a momentary escapism. They all have given me a place where I can immerse myself and enjoy the wonder of another place and time.
Then came the Stargate SG-1. I'm sure many will argue what is the most influential SciFi of all times. But if you ask me what show gave me the most satisfying and lasting impression as the best SciFi, it's Stargate SG-1.

I have to thank the writers and the chemistry of actors who made it the most enjoyable show.

Movie Review: Excellent unending
Summary: 5 Stars

Excellent unending to a great sci-fi series.

I was thrilled to find out season 9 that Ben Browder and Claudia Black, the two lead actors in the sci-fi series FARSCAPE - one of the best sci-fi series of all time - were joining the cast, and they didn't disappoint. Season 10 revealed more of their former FARSCAPE chemistry, even though Black was (successfully) romantically paired with Jackson.

Black's character, with her flaws and her quirks, part trickster, part femme fatale, part child, part warrior, is multidimensional and endearing, a welcome contrast to Carter. Browder makes a great successor to Richard Dean Anderson which, needless to say, was quite the challenge. Mitchell's character development hinted at facets that were just beginning to be explored. I suspect and hope they will continue to be in the upcoming movies. The whole cast does an incredible job and makes you beg for more. The movies can't come out soon enough.

I liked the DVD special features, especially the hilarious "Life as a Tech". They are scattered over the 5 discs, so be warned that they can contain some spoilers, so you might want to watch the whole season first.
Enjoy this great set! I did.

Movie Review: A noble end to a great SF series
Summary: 5 Stars

It's hard to believe that the science fiction channel cancelled Stargate in favor of shows like Who Wants to be a Super Hero, or the geeky Dr. Who. Stargate was one of the best SF series, ranking with Babylon 5, because of its humanity. People came first, after which the stories were dramatic, exciting, and always tied in to our best human values. They had great villains, excepting the Ori which took the series in too spiritual a direction. If you watch from year one to the end, the character development is incredible. Of course, when RDA left the series, it wasn't the same. The newcomers from Farscape weren't able to take his place -- which was obvious when the producers had to bring two characters, Cam and Vala, to replace one. The series ended well, although I do think that Daniel and Vala should not have gotten together. They were too much of a mismatch on a moral scale. However, it was all done well, and I will miss it. Occasional TV movies just aren't enough. I think now that the original Stargate is off the air, fans will realize how poor a spinoff is the Atlantis series. This DVD set was very high quality, as usual, with a crisp colorful picture and great sound. Very enjoyable.

Movie Review: Stargate SG1 was great, isn't for everyone
Summary: 5 Stars

As they say, opinions are like Internet, and just about everyones gets online. Inturn, some of them like to post about things they like or enjoy... Which is true, and Welcome to 2007!! I am a Fan of the series, and own all 9 seasons, with the 10th on its way. If and when their movies hit DVD, I will most certianly get those as well, Like I own the First Stargate movie. I am not ashamed to say it, write about it, or even post it here, so other FANS or even NON-Fans may share their thoughts on whatever I have to say... I have enjoyed the series from episode 1 right on thru the final episode. I dont honestly know how many in total their were, but I watched and enjoy each one. For me, I did not like the departure RDA (Richard Dean Anderson). I felt for me, it lost something, without Anderson. I Felt Ben (Who was so good in Farscape), I dont think he had O'Neills humor, but then again he wasnt supposed, doah me, LOL. Ben brought something different, and I enjoyed his character, and how he interacted with the others. I think His character had a little thing for Amanda's character.... My opinion only... Anyway, I am done, so... Enjoy!
