Movie Review: Some improvement at last!
Summary: 4 Stars
Season 9 was rather weak, replacing Jack O'Neill (the coolest guy out there) with two less exciting characters. Everything seemed downhill from the wonderfully epic ending(s) of season 8. Season 10, though, was much better, with the bad guys personified into one character--Vala's terribly creepy evil daughter! Daniel Jackson meets the Ancients, meets Merlin, and gains amazing cosmic powers (again). The 200th episode is just silly, and some eps are on the weak, frivilous side, or just involve a lot of shooting. Still, a number of the episodes, starting with the beginning ones are brilliant. The Pegusus Project, where they visit Atlantis, is an outstanding episode with three storng plots. Company of Thieves has lots of misdirection and almost slapstick-like humor, as Mitchell pretends to be a convincing bad guy. Mid season, the heroes set out on Merlin's quest to find the grail...with quite surprising results. All in all, this one appears a fitting end to the StarGate phenomenon.
