Movie Review: The Missing Link/Can I give it 6 Stars?

An outstanding animated set of adventures, Star Wars-Clone Wars Vol. 1, brings to the screen 20 three-minute war stories from the Clone Wars.
Set between Episodes Two and Three, the film sheds light on events involving some of the most impressive jedi knights, including an amazing performance by Mace Windu, an underwater battle with Master Fisto (!), and of course Anakin Skywalker in a battle worth of song among others.
The cast have truly outdone themselves with their performances, which are AMAZING to say the least! All the actors, without exceptions, give it their 100% and it really shows (the animation does come ALIVE) allowing for a highly entertaining movie that can be watched over and over again.
The setting, the plot, the dialogues, the battle sequences, and the music are all EXCELLENT!
In short, Star Wars-Clone Wars Vol. 1 is a movie definitely worth watching and one to seriously consider adding to your Star Wars collection! (The film establishes a GREAT cliffhanger for the sequel, which is also a "must-see!")

The animated clone wars series helps connect episode II and episode III. Alot of viewers knew about the clone wars from conversations revolving around them in episode IV(the original film), but wished Lucas had shown us. I didn't really expect much of this DVD until I found out that it is really planned by Lucasfilm to be a storyline between episoded II and III. There are 20 very short films (3-4 minutes). There is a lot of action, intruduction of new characters and adventures of the Jedi in the Clone Wars. We see Anakan grow bolder and more rebellious, see the role of Dooku and General Grevious and the further battles.
The animation is very simple but very good, you really can see the faces of the actors so you know immediately who you are dealing with. That is easy because there is not a lot of explenation, some of the shorts barely have speech, some none at all.
If you are a Star Wars fan definitely get this. If you are new to the Star Wars saga and didn't think episodes 1 and 2 were very good (don't worry, many Star Wars fans agree) you might like this one.

My family loves these dvds. The storytelling is great and much better than the live action movies. These movies did a better job of telling a Star Wars story. We have watched them many times and see something new and exciting every time.
