Great action shorts in the style of Japanese Anime. Excellent artistic animation and cartoon story telling. This set of short 10 min stories, as well as the Vol. 2 DVD, fill in the the gaps from Star Wars II to Star Wars III. These stories fill in the details like- Who is General Grevious? What were the Clone Wars fighting for? Just how powerful was Yoda and Mace Windu? Why is Count Duku such a jerk? Just kidding, the latter is never answered. This DVD set is great for kids as well as us older Star Wars nuts. Keep in mind they are a little dark in nature and can be scary for younger kids. There is no blood, but there is plenty of violence, mostly against droids and evil beings. I highly recommend both Vol. 1 and 2 to complete any and Star Wars DVD collection.Movie Review: Artistic Brilliance in Space

Clone Wars Vol. 1 (and 2) captures a masterful sense of design. Each scene is captivating not only because of an enticing storyline, but also because of a great detail of design. There is a wonderful feeling of balance and excitement in each cell-shaded scene. I found myself marveling at the overall graphic quality of this art more than the actual movie plot itself. I thought this was an awesome way to bridge together the star wars movies. My husband loves both Vol 1 and 2. Definately worth the money for anybody who likes Star Wars, but a must have for anyone who Loved Star Wars.
