Movie Reviews of Star Wars - Clone Wars, Vol. 1

Movie Review: Must have for Star Wars fan
Summary: 5 Stars

If you like the Star Wars movies, this is a must buy. It bridges the gap between EP2 and EP3, and it goes into a lot more detail about the Clone Wars. Some minor characters found in EP2 and EP3 are also found in these animations with more depth.

Movie Review: Best cartoon series!
Summary: 5 Stars

this is the best cartoon series ever because of the great starwars storyline.

Movie Review: Clone wars was good, but it could have been GREAT!
Summary: 3 Stars

Clone wars 1, starts where episode 2 stops. I watched episode 3 before I watched either of the clone wars volumes, and I was left with a lot of questions man star wars fans would have if they didn't watch these animated volumes.

Questions like,
1. who is general grevious? and why is he always coughing?
2. When did Anakin become a Jedi?
And many more,

Well, The clone wars volumes answers all of these. Plus you get to see more of the supporting jedi characters in action.

This is a good movie, and for all star wars fans it is ESSENTIAL if only because it ties everything together.

My one problem with the movie is I wish they had gone deeper into the story backgrounds of the characters especially the evil ones.

Movie Review: Action packed w/o a boring second !
Summary: 5 Stars

Volume 1 was great and exciting to watch. Don't buy volume 2 unless you need something to put you to sleep.

Movie Review: Quite Well Done!!! Star Wars
Summary: 4 Stars

To repeat what I think basically everyone else has already said, this is like real Star Wars, only a cartoon, and not meant just for little kids, it can be for adults also. The quality is very high. The characters are superb, the actors' voices match the real characters so well. The audio featuring John William's score, Anthony Daniels as 3P0, and tons of authentic Star Wars audio make this audio come alive as Star Wars. The storyline builds effectively and realisitcally from Episode II. All the short chapters fit seemlessly into a single movie. You could never tell it was made up of short chapters if you didn't already know.

Best part: as others have said, getting to know characters which fell flat in the movie Ep. II such as Mace Windu. Here we see Master Windu in action, and find his character to be a satisfying one to know, better than the flat character in the real movie. Cool: Mean Joe Green have a coke -er, I mean a bottle of water - moment with Mace Windu and small boy like 70's coke spot on tv. At the end, General Grievous is scary enough to make you cringe when he suddenly drops down! Superb! Best, you can show this video to the young star wars fan, no gore nor adult content whatever.

Cons: Just wish I had known about this sooner!
